Every single long kick by De Gea, we lost the possession. What's the point then?
At least sub McTominay on for Fred.
I know McT gets criticised for not always being involved in the buildup from goalkicks, but that's because he's a 6'3" aerial presence in midfield for DDG to aim at when he can't pass it short.
If this is the way we're going to be playing today, pick the man who's built for it. It'd also give us the chance to move Eriksen higher up the pitch so he stops being such a liability.
McTominay is about a million times better positionally than both Fred and Eriksen. With City constantly making runs from midfield, it's going to help. Keep it tight until 70 minutes, then hope for an equaliser from Garncacho.
