Don't see where we'd play him. Not the type of rb ETH wants imo and Kim is a better cb than him. Bargain for sure, but not a fit for us
Its very obvious we can't buy 3 mids, St, and a cb all in the one summer. Even if Maguire, Fred, Scott, VDB, Telles and Baily get sold.

We got him for relatively cheap and the competition he provided lit a fire under Shaw, so at the end of the day, not the worst signing in the world.

Well we gave him such a massive increase in wages when he joined that we are going to find it nigh on impossible to sell him without subsidising them.
He was so patently not up to our level I would say he was a shocking signing. No pace and no quality. He might have been OK as a squad player at Burnley but that's about it

The first paragraph states that although United are usually slow at making signings, this summer it seems they could act quickly and make their first signing early.
Fair enough. But then the rest of the piece is him going through everyone we've been linked to and saying that we either aren't keen or haven't even started discussions yet. Says Mount is farthest along, but even that could be pushed back until they identify and then sign a striker. Then says we may not have enough money and probably won't sign anyone until we know what our budget is...

It's obvious every summer that none of them have a clue until deals are pretty much done.
We'll end up signing players we haven't even been linked with yet and be stuck with players many think we'll be able to sell. Like usual.

It's obvious that we will be slow in the market this summer due the ongoing sale process and the simple fact that the leeches will not be quick enough to sign-off on any deal, as they have no incentive to help the incoming new owner whoever that might be.
