Why, we all know the claim that all City fans are from Manchester and United fans aren't is bollocks
Manchester is a big city and I wouldn't expect that kind of crowd in any mid to large cities in Europe. I expect that kind of showing for no one.

Sorry that doesn't quite make sense to me - am I missing something?

I've seen more people in one place when someone gets hit by a car.

This is the thing about Newcastle. When they start winning, it won’t be soulless corporate celebrations like this, trying to copy what they’ve seen others do, it will be the real deal from a real fanbase.

I don’t know which I prefer…

Their owners are literal scum. It’s just as soulless

I misread the meaning to start off with, but I think it means in short, that the support for City is pathetic, and he would expect no other club on earth to have had such an embarrassing turnout, for such an historic event as they have had tonight.

I missed the United parade in 99 as I was on my way back along with thousands of others who went via road/rail and sea to get to Barca. Those tarts had 2 full days to get back - forever in our shadow….

That's not too bad. For a small club
The 2013 league title you couldn’t move around Deansgate but also any avenue leading into deansgate. It was literally gridlock of thousands of humans. You’ve got a crowd ten rows deep there and then you can walk freely anywhere.

I’m not even getting into 99. Was literally get there at lunchtime. Wait it out and luckily had tickets for the MEN. What a night.

I was at the Etihad on Saturday night to see the weeknd in concert with my daughter. It was an incredible show and probably the biggest attendance there in years.

The funny part was, when the thousands of us came out at about 10.30, there were about 5 city fans walking towards the stadium singing and shouting, looking for some kind of recognition. No-one gave a **** which seemed to wind them up. They really are an empty club.

Mediocre and manufactured a type of parade that Simon Cowell would be proud of. West Ham's parade far more authentic and all they won was a bloody flower vase.

Classless players, no shirts on, singing obscene chants with 4 letter words in. Not a chance United would behave like that under Fergie or ETH.

This media narrative thar there are no Utd fans in Manchester is absolutely ridiculous. As has been mentioned the 99 parade was unbelievable and didn't go 100 metres down Deansgate like this shower did.My daughter in law is a City fan and took her two sons to the parade she said it was a farce.

I've lived in Manchester all my life and worked as a taxi driver for 10 years the amount of people I picked up who asked me who I supported and replied when I told them Utd "wow an actual Utd fan from Manchester" was crazy.

Maybe I'm just biased because I'm a dirty Scottish runt but United and Manchester is greater than the people who live in it. Obviously those who do live there are more important than those who don't, but that's not what I'm saying so don't get me wrong.

The point is that a manky piece of shit like myself regularly drives 5 hours down to get into arguments with that shitty roundabout near the stadium, eat a shit baked potato and generally bore myself to death watching thousands of folk take selfies like they're on holiday (which they probably are). And God love them. Because whilst the only things that are "Manchester" about me is this club and a musical passion for shoegaze (since one person will want the answer; obviously the best band is James) I feel like I'm a welcome guest to the city when I come to watch United play.

I'll wake up early and spend the entirety of the money I have left after making sure my family are comfortable on a day trip to Manchester, and then drive back the same day tired and weary, if it means I get to stand in Old Trafford and sing about kicking a blue. I'd never do that for any other club.

So feck City. feck their hollow victory and Instagram curated image. They're cnuts and they always will be. Let them win as many trophies as they want. They've proven this week that they can win the fecking treble and, in the grand scheme of things, nobody gives a shit.

I have the greatest respect for people who travel for hrs to come and watch Utd.
If anything I'm guilty of taking it for granted how close I live to OT.I rarely missed a game when I was younger but admittedly these days maybe a handful of games a season.

Your right about City, no one gives a shit.

Over 1 million came out to the streets here in Toronto when the Raptors won the 2019 NBA Championship…. In a “hockey city”. That City parade looked woeful.

To be fair, alot their fans are new to the club. 08 fans. They know nothing of the clubs history before then. I was talking to some one on twitter about kinkladze...had no idea who i was talking about.

They've got the worst fans in the world relative to their success.

They can't even attract the bandwagoners to come out to support them.

Never mind a treble. If we ever win just the league again, our parade will put that to shame.

In the 99 parade, the route was crammed for miles down the road. I watched it pass near Old Trafford cricket ground and it was heaving even there.

I think our last parade, 2013 one, puts a shame to that. But yes, the next parade if it happens in our lifetime will be huge.

Yep, it was jam packed all the way from Stretford to Deansgate. This is Chester road, not even in town.

By the time the bus got into town it was half a million people.

The entire length of Deansgate was full end to end

This is what a proper treble parade looks like

Doesn’t do it justice.

It was like that from Brooklands in Sale where the bus joined Chester Road.

Absolutely mental scenes that would not be replicated again by anyone. Including United.
