It's a plus we've signed someone, though until its officially announced on Man Utd site or official tweet etc then I will settle.

Mount is a young player is a very good player won't say exceptionally good, EtH somehow wanted him so if he fits what he wants I will go with that on last seasons performances.

Looks like Fred imo will be on his way this window, Mctom will stay imo unless a big offer comes in, which is unlikely. Maybe transfers may start moving a bit quicker now?

Btw the £125m doesn’t actually help them for this year, as the Saudi’s are only allowed to do business officially from the 1st of July. So it’s only the money us and Arsenal have handed to them will save them from FFP.
Havertz helps a little bit RLC £15m sale to Milan and M Mount £55m gives them £70m instant net transfer profit, neither cost them a penny, academy products.

As reported by Sami Mokbel who was almost spot on when he reported the below info in May.

Hopefully we now get Onana done and I'm still hoping for a first phase midfielder alongside a striker to be brought in before the end of the transfer window.

TBH, I'd be fine with Mount, Bruno, Casemiro, Eriksen, McTominay and new DM as our midfield next season and getting rid of Fred and Donny.
Yeah I could stomach McTominay sticking around as long as we signed a new DM. Although, I'd much rather we sell him and bring through Mainoo.

I am not convinced but if ETH wants him, at least we have him before pre season.

Wasn't exactly my dream signing... but at least he's young and a midfielder. That's something.

He doesn't really help the whole 'getting outplayed by every half-decent midfield' problem though.

I am thoroughly whelmed, he is a decent player but £60m with one year left on his contract and £250, 000 a week contract for 5 years is fecking crazy

Let’s all be like you Matthew, let’s not have an opinion and whatever the manager wants is a great bit of business, no questions asked.

Maybe we should give Juve another £89m for Pogba this summer? Make sure you don’t question it though, someone else always knows better.

…..Tw*t.
There is having an opinion and having doubts, that is fine, and then there is constant moaning and spouting bollocks, they are not the same, his post was meant for the latter.

I don't see us being linked with any other midfielders, at least genuine links. Hopefully Lavia is someone we can go for.

Even though I wanted the club to stick to their final offer of 50+5,a 55+5m add-ons that are hard to achieve isn't that much of a major compromise, and all in all I am glad to see the club complete a signing of someone of Mount's caliber before the pre-season starts, hopefully we get Onana and a striker now.

Aye. We still lack that Carrick/Scholes type dictator in midfield but Mount will give us that high pressing ability in midfield along with Bruno which means we’ll be able to regain possession in the oppositions final third more effectively and hopefully counter with more devastation providing we sign a quality striker as well.

very happy with this transfer, player of the season in a CL winning side, good mentality, actually ETH's top target, he wanted to loan him in 2018, creative, can score, upgrade on Eriksen really.

I think we'll sign a midfielder we aren't currently being linked with. If it's not Lavia I can see us go for another up and coming midfielder to raise the level in the build up phase. That's my biggest concern right now after signing Mount and hopefully Onana.

he’s a bargain. it’s a two for one no brainer. allows greenwood to be brought back into the fold seamlessly.

“erik, do you have any concerns integrating greenwood into the first team squad?”

“who, eh?”

“greenwood.”

“eh, eh?”

“mason greenwood.”

“ah, mason, eh? he’s been player of the season for two years at chelsea, eh? he’s played for eh-ngland, eh? he’ll be fine.”

I think those doubting Mount will be surprised he will end up being a top transfer for us. Easily one of Chelsea’s best players in the past 3 years and a long time target for ETH apparently

Exciting deal in my opinion

Probably a bit overpriced but not by so much that it matters much. Good to get him in before preseason
I'm with this view. Good player who adds to our midfield options.

Still need a striker and a goalkeeper, though.

We wont be able to offload him with those wages after failing to make an impact here. As usual, more of the same

I mean they could spin it that they've sold an attacking midfielder who scored 3 goals and got 2 assists this season for a very sizeable fee to a club in the same league (I don't get the rivals bit, I guess we'll both be fighting for top 4 but neither side will be competing for major trophies where that stuff actually matters) who are reportedly paying him stupidly high wages.

Shit midfield off the ball? What?
Bruno and Mount can and will press well but they both lack defensive awareness and positioning in transition in the defensive third. We'll be a lot better defensively higher up the pitch but I'd be a bit concerned about them off the ball when not in the opposition half.

A very good player that every manager he has ever had has relied upon. I think he will do very well in a system-oriented tactical side that Ten Hag wants. He's disciplined, technically decent and works hard.

Not the most exciting player, granted, but I think he could do well.

250k a week, ofcourse he was happy to join. Wouldn't get that anywhere else not even at his boyhood dreamclub.

But here comes United to save the day.

I hope he is worth it, never rated him as highly as others do but looks like he is rated very highly by top managers.

Will be interesting to see how double 8 works with 2 players who works very hard.
