Been watching Ghosts of Beirut and its pretty good so far. I don't know how historically accurate they've managed to stay and how much they've dramatized it but its great as a fast-paced thriller of sorts.

My missus wanted to was Alrawabi School For Girls on Netflix, so we watched it last week, was actually decent for a TV programme about Jordanian school girls. The revenge plot was good and was a decent watch in the end for something I was thinking would be absolutely shite.

7/10, add a bonus point for the cockney voice over for one of the girls brothers. Was like an Eastenders character.

Hopefully it will be good, although with dopesick i am not sure what else they can say about it. Unless its different somehow.
Yeah it’s going against the gold standard of the anti-Sackler shows / docs, but I say keep the spotlight on them.

It seems a bit more superficial & glitzy than Dopesick, but that may attract a different viewer & help illuminate the scourge to a different, perhaps affected, group.

Anybody started Full Circle (HBO)? Looks interesting, but basically no buzz or reviews online.

Halfway through the second episode. Not bad.

e - finished the second episode, a bit better than not bad. Interesting plot line.

Just realized that I have never watched The Shield past the first episode. Am looking forward to diving into it.

Just watched Jury Duty on Amazon Prime. Loved it, very funny but also pretty heart warming.

It's focused around a normal guy who thinks he is part of a documentary about a real trial and is selected for jury duty so he's just doing his normal things, but everybody else is an actor and the trial/judge etc are all actors. Very clever idea, must have needed a lot of improv from the actors to essentially guide the main guy towards where they wanted to go or to adapt on the fly.

Realize that I’m very late to the party, but just finished the first season of The Boys and thought it was a really fun watch!

Four eps in and loving Hijack. Got a Money Heist season one feel to it (the latter seasons were shite)

Idris Elba is ridiculously handsome.

Anyone catch the first two episodes of ‘Lioness,’ a Taylor Sheridan concept of a female heavy CIA SAD team in the GWOT? Halfway through the first one & it is not bad at all.

I'm assuming Taskmaster has been mentioned but it's probably the funniest show on TV. Plus there's plenty of seasons you can watch pretty casually as there's no ongoing plot season to season. Just comedians given stupid tasks to complete.

I love Taskmaster, Would I lie to you and 8 out 10 Cats. The funniest shows with great comedians.

Since Taylor Sheridan is the screenwriter (Sicario, Without Remorse, Yellowstone, 1883, 1923, etc.), I really need to get on it.

Second episode not as strong as the first but plot lines were laid down a bit more clear.

They get the little things right which is pleasing.

Definitely. WILTY is always great. I haven't watched as much 8 out 10 cats in recent years though. It helps that there's a lot of overlap in the contestants. I saw a clip from 8 out 10 cats does countdown and all 4 people competing had been on taskmaster.

I know I'm behind, but just watched The Dropout starring Amanda Seyfried. Really liked it!

Also watching The Clearing and Under the Banner of Heaven on Disney. If you like a bit of psycho thriller.

The Dropout was quite good, she apparently nailed a bunch of the main character's idiosyncrasies.

Is ‘Justified’ that good? The RT & Metacritic scores are superlative.

Need something to get into after I finish The Shield.

I've heard nothing but good things and have been told to watch it. Plus, Walton Goggins is in it. As a SHIELD fan...

Same about watching it.

Not the biggest fan of Goggins halfway through the first season of The Shield, but he is in the series til the end. Hopefully he will grow on me.

The sister in law of one of my best friends is the stunt double for the Cruz Manuelos character.
