We are apparently talking to Arsenal about Matt Turner. Either we are putting pressure on United to agree a deal for Hendo or we’ve just had enough of dealing with you lot?

Or more likely we have had enough of your lot taking the Mickey

Hey United - look over here. If you don't accept out crap offer, we'll instead go for *checks notes* Matt Turner here, who's played a whopping 0 minutes in the PL.

Considering being injury-prone is worse for a GK than any other position, I think a 30 games option is fair from Forest. Would people who seem upset by this think the same if the roles were reversed instead?

Call their fecking bluff. They want Matt Turner instead of Henderson, they should go for it and see how having a player with 0 PL appearances as their #1 going into the season. And Henderson can sit on our bench for another season or find a club who’ll pay our valuation.

Loan to buy after 5-10 games should see him gone in January window. Not liked the bloke since his interview disrespecting the club and thinking he is better than he is. One good season in an obviously over achieving Sheffield United team doesn’t make him United material. Mid table keeper at best.
Oh wow

You need a good GK to stay up. If you don’t spend £20m on Hendo and get Turner instead you will go down and the amount of money you lose will be much more than £20m.

We really need to get rid of him this summer. He honestly seems like a cancer in the dressing room. I mean just look at this picture

Matt Turner isn't a bad keeper by the way. He's done well for the US national team at the World Cup and CONCACAF Gold Cups and Nation Leagues.

Aww, Bruno was the only one bringing his girlfriend.

Edit: that is probably not his girlfriend :)

Considering he can’t play versus United, it means the max number of games he can play is 36.

Lets say he gets a suspension for a red card or something. And maybe even a minor injury to keep him out of a couple of games. Or rested for a cup game. There is too many possibilities.

30 games isn’t realistic or ‘fair’.

10-15 games is where it should be pitched.

How about an obligation to buy, but they have a way out that comes with a cancellation fee of lets say £10mill.

Do we actually know that Henderson is significantly better than Turner? He was the best keeper in MLS, nailed on quality starter for the US who performed well in the World Cup, and there is a reason Arsenal signed him in the first place.

If he is that good why hasn’t he played for Arsenal in the premier league? Henderson is better tested in English football than Matt Turner has.

Henderson must be terrified now if he cant get his move, dont think he would be professional enough to be a solid nr2 for us either..

We're gonna end up stuck with him.
Wouldn’t surprise me if the Forest move is dead in the water now yeah.

Can only hope that there might be one or two clubs who perhaps thought the Forest move was a foregone conclusion now show an interest. I’m not a big fan of the guy but he does provide a club with the opportunity to sort themselves out with an English keeper at a good age and who has a point to prove. Given how many loans he’s had, he’d probably be in it for the long haul too. Expensive wages but for a Palace or a West Ham still think it’d be a decent opportunity.

Heh, that is hilarious. He really is a class A mard arse. It's not our fault that nobody wants to buy him. If a 20m bid came in, he'd be gone in a heartbeat. Try and stay fit.

Because Ramsdale has been solid enough that he wasn't going to get dropped. You could argue the exact same about Henderson not being able to get a game over De Gea his last season with us by that logic. Turner has actually played more football than Henderson in the past year due to the international games he has played while Henderson has been out for about 8 months now and didn't play at all the season before last as well.

Don't care.. We have our price set. If Forest dont want to pay it, they can get whoever they want.. its fine.

He has a contract till 2026. If he doesnt go, he stays as backup and Heaton goes to Luton. If he wants to play, he will look for a club.

This is so low priority .. dont care either way.

Henderson’s agent better get him a move else he’s stuck on the bench here, after an injury filled last season and the potential of him sitting on our bench for the next 12 months his stock will drop to nothing and we’ll be left with a keeper sat on 100k a week stinking up the place with his attitude

Bad for all involved

If he doesn’t end up at Forest he won’t be staying as backup. Whilst we would prefer a permanent sale we will end up loaning him to someone if it comes down to it. He would be much too disruptive in the locker room and I am certain he would rather go somewhere and play. We just have to hope in that case that it is a good loan and we end up selling him for a solid fee next summer.

If he's so miserable, he should tell Forest to make an offer that doesn't involve a 30 game obligation to buy. Because if they don't buy him, he'd be in the same spot looking more miserable next year.

Why is he even on tour? Should've been with the u-23s instead. Has to be really embarrassing being near the team and the manager after his comments last season.

People slammed me for saying we should have sold Henderson before signing Onana and now it looks like we aren’t going to be able to sell Henderson. I told everyone they were taking the piss because after signing Onana they knew we had to sell him and they are trying to take advantage of that, but I was wrong apparently. This is a ridiculous situation all round, we really can’t afford to have him be miserable on the bench all season and we’ll have to sell him for less than we actually want to because he’s getting even less playing time, again.

It could have also worked the other way. Inter could have taken advantage of the fact that we needed a keeper and ripped us off.

Forest playing hardball after last years Lottery win style spending spree is hilarious. Hope Matt Turner works out.

Worst case scenario he will go on loan again. He refused to be No.2 here. I think it will get done but Forest is looking at other cheaper options to force our hands.

It's as if the people in key positions have no sense, like Henderson was fundamental to the clubs ability not to sign a replacement for De Gea. Reeks of incompetence.
