He'll be good for West Ham. Even with Rice gone, they'll be a compact team who will play fairly deep and utilise the counter attack well. He won't be expected to be on the ball so much and play through a press. They have some good transition players, like Bowen, who he'll be expected to hit it long to, more often than not.

If they also sign Alvarez, along with McTominay or another like JWP/Gallagher, then I think they'll actually be a really tough team to break down next season. They'll also be able to physically overpower a lot of teams, especially in midfield.
Agreed, and if you add a decent striker to those players they will do good i think aswell.

He played his best for us when we played a deep block under Ole. I really do think he’ll be fantastic at West Ham.
I can see him making a move to Chelsea or a Spurs in the next 1/2 seasons as a cheap option with experience
Hm it would not surprise me. Premier League teams love experienced players in the squads usually.

I wish him well and good luck atleast.

Really hope we lad the lad from Nice now. Shaping up like a very good window for rebuilding the spine of the team and clearing the dead wood that's about 5 seasons overdue at this point. Just a few names left after this one.

A good deal for all parties. It made too much sense not to happen.

Hopefully mctominay will follow

It's amazing. I'd nearly forgive him!
He’s doing the Lord’s work and I think anyone still holding grudges against him will be swiftly reminded of this window! His work’s far from complete - looks like he’ll give us what we want for McTominay too!

Then she sucks on my balls
It's a good deal if we get a replacement in that isn't called Evans.
Exactly a player we got rid of 8 years ago suddenly becomes good enough, that ain't progress we have to get in a replacement for harry, young/fresh like todibo and that's solid back up with lindeloff and Shaw being able to slot in aswell even a top class left back would work.

Great deal for us to be fair. And he’ll be decent for West Ham in the first 2-3 years there.

We will get someone in but I feel it should be a left footer rather than a right footer. Shaw's best position is LB and we shouldn't take him away from there when Martinez needs a rest or is injured.

Both him and McT will be their best players instantly..
Same happened with Lingard when he was there and trying.. Lingard had other issues and it didnt work for him at Forest, but Maguire and McT will give their all..

They'll definitely improve West Ham.. The West Ham fans might think otherwise right now, but they are getting 2 very good players

Good luck to him, I thought he was a ridiculous signing at the time and he’s been poor for us overall but he should do very well at West Ham.

Not sure if it's in Todibo's interest to come to United and if he's the good profile for us.

I mean, usually you would like to get to type of CB, one more agressive than the other one, but in Varane, Lindelof and Todibo we would have 3 same type of player.

I don't know if Todibo is really better than Lindelof, and I imagine a CB pairing Lindelof Todibo, it can be really thin physically.

To be honest, I would take Evans as a 4th CB this season and try to replace Varane next year.

Just wait for Maguire to reject them
Nah, he'll accept now. Being stripped of the captaincy, not even getting to captain the friendlies before McTomminay and Heaton, United accepting a fairly low bid for him and sending him off with some extra cash in his back pocket. It's that or sit on the bench and get shit from all angles whenever he's plays.

Neither of them is better than Paquetta or Antonio. But they would be some of their best players. I do not rate either of them at all, but I think that Maguire is going to be their best defender.

We need a CF, RB and probably a midfielder at least next summer. We can't be shopping around for a CB as well, knowing that Varane will probably miss at least 3 months this season with a knee injury.

Get Todibo in, if it turns out he's not ready or good enough we just sell him in the summer, an ex Barcelona/United player generally have some big admirers.

£30m for Maguire is good for both parties. I believe we can get more for McTominay though, like closer to £40m.

Seems like Paquetta might leave and I've seen a lot of West Ham fans saying Antonio is past his best now.

Also Bowen is better than Antonio anyway.
