What happened to that young, black kid that played against arsenal?

Play him instead of mount and get a Bruno replacement that can actually keep the ball under pressure.

provided the kid is available of course

Such a player considered good enough wasn't available so we got the next best thing
Let's hope so. Think this may be a step too big for him, and the expectations aren't helping. He's almost supposed to be ETH's saviour at this point, he can scarcely survive another dud signing.

I know that this may be nitpicking but I will advise you to be weary with describing people like this on a forum.

I know it might be okay to describe people like this if you are among your mates but not on a global forum. This is not me saying you are being a racist at all, just advising you.

To your question, the kid is injured and his name is Mainoo. Anyways, we should not be relying on the kid if ETH has not been stubborn and gone to Mount who in most people's opinion, he was not the right profile of player we needed in that midfield.
thanks mate.

I get that deja vu feeling again that the players haven't got their hearts in it again. Whether that's cause they don't like ETH's methods or decisions, or because of something controversial that the club is currently planning to do, either way you know there's massive character problems at United. It's not got better despite all the signings, it's probably a case of our most talented are our least dedicated to the team. They do enough to not get dropped, sold, get their contract renewals, but they have no intention of being at it consistently.

TBH I'm not expecting him to bang in goals immediately, but being an actual striker should help the team tremendously

I mean, they responded well to him after that 30km run, so ETH must have REALLY fecked up if he's lost the players already.

Sneak a 1-0? Fair enough, you could just say you only became a fan last season instead of talking rubbish.

Fair few signings made under Ole are more than worth what we paid. So far Erik has missed on Antony and Malacia and the jury is out on whether Mount is worth the money so he has hardly done any better. He has managed to spend almost 400M and failed to address some glaring needs. Like I said, I am not giving up on him yet but he needs to improve soon.
I’m a 30yr fan you condescending prick!

‘A fair few signings under Ole are more than worth what we paid’ - feckING NAME THEM (I’ll give you Bruno & Cavani)!

Here’s the list:
Maguire - £80m - now desperately trying to sell
AWB - £45m - was happy to sell this time last year
Dan James - moved on
Ighalo
VDB
Diallo
Pellestri
Telles
Cavani
Sancho
Varane
Ronaldo

Wtf are you talking about. He didn't know Mainoo's name, get over it. Nothing wrong with that description.

It's pretty clear the club just can't find a manager who has decent decision making. Every single one has been an idiot.
nailed it

the only aspect of this that’s systemic is that the rubbish managerial appointments have been given bucket loads of money with no overarching strategy

that and the rewarding of rank mediocrity with big new contracts every 2 seasons

Are you that lazy to look for his name? It only takes seconds to search google. Have some bloody manners. That’s how you describe someone especially a young player from the academy? It might not be racist but it’s a bit disrespectful and borderline insulting.

What was he supposed to use? Please, tell us the criteria.

The board and managers are to blame, but the herd like users on here who blindly support ten hag and individual players won't accept that.

Ive said it plenty of times. If you include the Mount fee and wages. We could have probably signed Osimhen

The thing that worries me is that we have no style of play after 2 summers. He has had more than enough time to implement his philosophy and buy players to fit it

Managers at other clubs come in and hit the ground running

100% agree, and it begs to question as to whether he/she would do it to other players.

Napoli were asking for 130 mil which was most, if not all, of our budget.
Like I just said and I’ll repeat it. If you add the Mount fee to the Hojlund fee, we could have signed Osimhen. We did not need Mount, we needed a world class level striker

Everyone jumping on the Mount signing being the sign of an idiot manager I assume feel the same way about Klopp and Arteta, who both also wanted him, right?

As for EtH, he's got a way he wants us playing, we're just not very good at it yet - last season he basically gave up after our poor start, realising we simply didn't have the personnel, this time around hopefully it clicks sooner rather than later.

And that would mean little to no funds for everything else considering the struggles we've had selling players. Budgeting is a thing.

Well, we have clear style but it can only last 30 mins or so. Then, the team is out of steam. It has been a pattern now.

Dream on, this is the real world not FM
Its the truth. The asking price could have been met if you combine the Hojlund and Mount fees. Also wages wise, well Mounts wages would have covered that

Completely missing the point. How did we manage to sign Hojlund, Mount (for the asking price of Osimhen) and still manage to sign Onana?

We don't have a manager or players who can accommodate him properly. Also, what is ETH's style? Whatever this is and last year's couldn't be any different.

I trust that he knows how to adapt and make it work, but he does need to adapt things. Rashford top almost never works, the midfield has issues in transition defensively and you just can't have a midfielder doing nothing on the ball in our setup.

Probably because we spent the whole budget on those three alone. You're not getting that we have to spend WISELY. That means not wasting money on one player where two could be cheaper and imptove us as a team for less money.
