So is for Gravenberch going to be the transfer saga to close the window with? 22m seems very cheap for a 21 year old in this market, especially if both teams are in for him.

Is this the guy that Bayern got from Ajax and was considered their biggest talent?
yes. he was considered as the next pogba. I was quite sad when he is confirmed the move to bayern when we couldn't get ETH confirmed as our manager yet otherwise we may have a chance to get him last summer.

Seems like exactly the type of midfielder we don’t need right?

What kind of player Gravenberch is?
what @Highfather_24 said, he is an 8. If you are in for him I don't see why you wouldn't also still be in for Amrabat. Maybe Gravenberch is more of an opportunistic punt, talented youngster who has not worked out at Bayern but has the tools and could be available at a good price. Still think a DM or someone close to that role would be a higher priority for you.

Not particularly good one if we go by what Bayern supporters think .
Had a quick look and he started only 6 games in all competitions since his move to Bayern.

Doesn't seem he's particularly rated by either Nagelsmann or Tuchel who sees him in training every day.

ETH's tricky reds
I’d certainly prefer him as an option to McTominay, he would offer us cover in 3 major positions (cam, cdm and his preferred central midfield), also offers us a great option to replace Eriksenand Mount.

Think the most important Midfield player we need is someone who is press resistant. Time and time again we lose midfield composure because we are pressed and cant get out. If had that midfielder it allows the other midfielders to more space and then we can break through

Haven't seen much of Gravenberch but I think he replaced FDJ so could do a bit.

He is ball carrying midfielder https://fbref.com/en/players/b8e740fb/Ryan-Gravenberch check his stats he's quite decent ball carrying numbers.

We need a midfielder who is good technically and can carry the ball forward who can connect the defence to attack and he fits the bill. Added advantage he’s physical too. I think he would be an astute signing.

If we are going for him then it's more of a calculated punt due to his low transfer fee and familiarity with Ten Hag , I am not sure whether that's a good thing or not .

He's exactly the #8 profile we need, true, but then what's the plan with Mount? Why did we buy him for 55M for the same position?

And we still need a #6, to cover Casemiro.

I think this makes sense if ETH wants him as a loan replacement for VdB, but even then, I'd still want a #6 like Amrabat.

Mount was a feck-up. Its obvious after two games.

Deepthroating information to Howard Nurse.

Every article I read on why we signed Mount spoke about Ten Hag valuing his versatility. He also speaks in every single press conference about wanting two top players for every position. I think Mctominay is going to leave and we’ll sign 2 midfielders.
