No, then he would be blocking Greenwood’s way back into the team.if he turns up, scores 7-10 goals, makes 20 odd assists and shores up our defence, then it would probably count as a successful loan.

Chelsea were a bit of a mess last season too. So hoping that played a role in the situation with him.I think everyone remembers him from his BHA days, he looked pretty damn good. Just like most players they have. He wouldn´t be the first player to look out of his depths as soon as they leave an enviroment that work like a charm for them.
Debatable if he ends up closer to the 7 goal mark though.if he turns up, scores 7-10 goals, makes 20 odd assists and shores up our defence, then it would probably count as a successful loan.
Agreed. If the window ends with some loans and small fees for squad players that upgrade the team as a whole, it could be a good window.Bringing Cucurella as list minute loan cover is great business, and like usual Caf somehow managed to be negative about it anyway, amazing!

They sure was. It definitely plays a part.Chelsea were a bit of a mess last season too. So hoping that played a role in the situation with him.
No, it’s not that simple at all. You may not remember, but Van Gaal croticized the club heavily for forcing him into the circumstances of having to play players who were not ready for what was expected of them.He didn’t even himself prefer that way of doing things. Understandably, as we didn’t notch up many points that way either, even at a time when the PL was much less competitive than it is today.Because they were also given their chances by Louis van Gaal before they fell flat on their faces. Ajax and Barcelona also treat their own kids in the same manner by providing them enough playing time before a final decision is made as to whether they are worth keeping or to be sold elsewhere.
Between consistently wrapping our kids in bubble bags (the Ten Hag way) and throwing them in the deep end (the Van Gaal old-fashioned way), I still prefer the old-fashioned way. The only way you know what a player is capable of is by seeing what he does during matches at senior level. You either swim or drown; it's just that simple.
Aye. You only have to look at the dozens of successful signings we've made in the last 10 years to see all the nay sayers knew nothingPeople on here don’t really know football so it’s unsurprising.
Same question. ETH must be the finest con man of this era. What even is ETH's system that he'd supposedly be brilliant in?
You would hope people who don’t really know football were more humble before people who do, though?People on here don’t really know football so it’s unsurprising.
I don’t really know what people expect? Who are all the better options for an LB with two days left in the window for an emergency cover style signing? This is a great option. End of story.Aye. You only have to look at the dozens of successful signings we've made in the last 10 years to see all the nay sayers knew nothing
Life is too short to be humble. You would hope people who don’t really know football were more humble before people who do, though?
Heck, what am I saying?
This is giving major Andrew Tate vibes.Life is too short to be humble.
Right? The way I see it, we got lucky Shaw's injury happened while the transfer window was still open and we can do something about it.Bringing Cucurella as last minute loan cover is great business, and like usual Caf somehow managed to be negative about it anyway, amazing!

I guess for instance a home record of not losing since Brighton last year, getting 3rd while playing a lot better, with more structure and idea, never happened.
There are still some problems of course but saying we're the same as during Ole tenure and thre's no improvement is just. Well strange.
No. He was really, really good and there was no point in sacking him.Did Ole record back to back midtable finishes or something?
He's either a con and we have a brilliant team who was 3rd last year or its something else.Same question. ETH must be the finest con man of this era.
No, there is something in between.No. He was really, really good and there was no point in sacking him.
Am I doing this right?
Yes, in the sense of ETH doing something, anything right. No, there is something in between.

It ultimately isn’t a great window still. We needed attacking depth and we’ve added nothing really, and the Mount thing is just a joke. The club is moving quickly to address an unforeseen LB crisis and is also looking at a CM option on top of 3 players already brought in yet people will still complain and call it all a failure.

It’s not a smart use of funds, that is pretty much fact. When you are working with limited money which we obviously are then it just wasn’t worth it and a smarter club with a better DoF wouldn’t go near.Mount has played 2 games and Hojlund is yet to even play. The joke is not Mount, it’s this ridiculous view that it’s all a failure already.
People have watched Mount for years, we don't have to wait another 2 seasons before we can judge him, we know exactly who and what he is as a player.Mount has played 2 games and Hojlund is yet to even play. The joke is not Mount, it’s this ridiculous view that it’s all a failure already.
Yes, and he is a player that was voted player of the year two years in a row, so judging him as a joke based on just one year after where he was injured half of it is joke in itself.People have watched Mount for years, we don't have to wait another 2 seasons before we can judge him, we know exactly who and what he is as a player.

I mean it is all about the context, like I said, this is last minute loan situation, also he was brilliant before Chelsea, it is not as straightforward as some make it out to be. But lots of Caftards don't know how to put context into equation, it is all black and white to them. So I am not surprised.I'm not sure why, the forum has spent a year constantly saying he's absolutely rubbish and he was in nearly everyone's team in the recent "worst big money signings of all time" thread.
The idea that it's a surprise that people aren't that happy with him is a bit odd to me.
I'm sure he will do okay but I wouldn't be shocked to be wrong.

I mean if you can't see the context, I can't help you there. And no, it is not black and white. What context? If he's terrible and causes us to ship a load of goals does him being cover late in the window matter?
Was Weghorst a good signing because he was short term cover?
It really is pretty black and white, if people think he's going to be terrible then they will think he will be a poor signing no matter when he signs. I reckon he will do okay but I don't see how being a bit down on bringing in a player who the whole forum has roundly bashed for a year is surprising.
