Not even a leader with the capabilities of Galadriel could turn this lot into a winning team.

Yet to see a single viable option brought up who I truly believe could turn it around, but people are happy to throw in the towel on another season in October and what hire a caretaker again and do that routine?
Yeah we are out of options now and we cannot have these leeches oversee another sacking

Have you seen them since he left? They are in trouble. Their situation has cost VDS his job as CEO too.
Didn’t they lose their DOF too after he was a pervert?

I can see the club getting sold to the Qataris and them bringing in Zidane and spending a shed load of money.

I have no problem with that, provided it is controlled and targeted, with a good DoF in place rather than scattergun like Boehly
No, a deal with Ratcliffe seems far more likely. Joel and Avram are the problem and they refuse to sell to Qatar. They want to remain as co-owners, at least for some more time and get more money in the future. Qataris would never allow that.

I think we need an outwardly fearsome but competent manager. Someone who owns the touchline and intimidates players and officials. Not one who is an introvert who just hands out punishment in a sanitised manner. Preferably someone who can give his piece of mind in fluent English.
Such as...

Xabi Alonso maybe, but he was a scouser. He would probably never accept being a Man United manager(if he's the man of principle/idealist), even with new ownership.

Pampered dumb and unmotivated?
Kick it out of them?
You missed "if". I was aggregating some of the views. Kick it out of them figuratively. As in bring in a disciplinarian who does not let them get too comfy and motivates or cajoles them verbally with both carrot and stick.

It looks like Ancelotti will be leaving Real Madrid next summer. I would give him the job if he leaves Real Madrid.

I have given up hope at this stage. Man Utd has turned into a graveyard for managers and players alike.

Yes much better to stick with someone who is clearly not the answer and is just making us worse

I do think that the only kind of manager that could work at United is one that is a bigger star than any of the players or was a better player than any of them so when it came to them throwing the manager under the bus it’d be the player that’s bombed out of the club.

Someone like Zidane would be the dream for that kind of manager but he wouldn’t entertain the idea with how piss poor we’re run right now and it’d take Qatar taking over then giving him a blank cheque, a free reign and the right set up with a sporting director for Zidane to entertain the idea.

Can you imagine Fernandes throwing his hands around and whining because he’d give the ball away yet again if Zidane was manager seeing as Zidane was 100 times the player Fernandes has ever been ? Or Rashford not bothering because he doesn’t fancy it ? Zidane would tower over them and they’d be gone if they didn’t buck their ideas up as he’s bigger than all of them.

Someone who plays out from the back, plays a high line with positional focused football. Someone who demands discipline and energy. Basically the closest thing you can get to ten hag. No more veering off with a wildly different plan.

Do you want a good manager or someone who will be here at least 10 years? I know what I want.
We are a complete mess and whoever we hire will need to oversee at least some sort of a rebuild. I'd rather have someone who can be here 3-4 years.

Our fan base turned their noses up at Poch, because 'he's not won nothing' what has Alonso done?

Keep a clean shit tomorrow, United is my final bus
Firstly sorry for my english I am from Argentina.
Manchester should go back to roots.
You need manager who would teach you basics...Defend first and make the Old Traford castle again. No one cares about you more.
My uncle would bring you back... And he would only left his job for Internazionale and Manchester.
He would walk to Old Traford
Who is your uncle and where do we sign?

It is time

Ole-inners don't get a vote for obvious reasons.

I would mention Rodgers, but apparently we were too good for either him or Poch.

no point in bringing those types of managers in if we continue to sign players who dont do that. Our "stars" are the antithesis of everything you just said you wanted.

One part of this question is obviously who would we want, the other is who would actually accept it. Even someone like de Zerbi, if he's smart, probably just waits it out until one of the big Italian clubs comes in for him.

Bayer Leverkusen are playing great, top of the Bundesliga right now. Alonso is probably going to Real Madrid anyway next summer, doesn't matter. Shouldn't have mentioned him.

The United Way has usually been to pick a manager who is as unlike their predecessor as it’s possible to be. Docherty > Sexton; LvG > Jose; etc.

And then we wonder why the new manager needs loads of new players.

The only time it didn’t happen was SAF > Moyes. They were almost identical in that they were both Scots :)
