Ladd covers so much ground, she’s covered for García a few times already. Crucial work.

Better team so far is United, just not quite quick or clinical enough in the final third currently.

Who is the annoying co-commentator? Just constant criticism

Half time musings

In the very short history of the women’s team, where do we think Leah Galton ranks amongst our best players ever list. Don’t mean just pure quality but overall legacy.

It’s the Arsenal fans singing “Lessi Russo, we’ve got, Lessi Russo, we’ve got”. I think.
Nice that they finally have another chant to add to their strong songbook that contains the absolute classic ”Aaaarsenal, Aaaarsenal, Aaaarsenal….” chant. And, well, there’s that.

Unimpressed again. Lucky to go in level with that goalkeeper clanger. Arsenal clearly far superior on the ball and in the buildup, they also cocked up a good chance with 2 of them through before the first goal from a high ball.

Curious question, dont we have better midfielders on the bench than on the pitch?

Thought Garcia been ok but Geyse been terrible
Missed the first 30 mins but yeah, was very disappointed in her movement off the ball and a few times she's kind of just stood there and let an Arsenal player take it.

Depends what you want from them. We’ve got Miyazawa, but I doubt she has the aggression and steel Zelem and Ladd offer. Which I think is very important in these top four battles. Personally think they’ve been fine so far. Naalsund the other option. Would’ve liked to have seen what Guerrero could add but she’s not in the squad tonight.

She started okay but took a heavy tackle that won the ball and stayed down. Seems apprehensive and not as sharp after that. Still done some decent pressing without the ball. Wouldnt surprise me if she runs out of steam again like the last match. At least Williams is on the bench and can come on and be a threat

Theres been 4 tackles from the entire team so far, with 7 from Arsenal and they've had better buildup and linkup play between players. So steel isnt doing a lot at the moment. As long as Zelem is there the combative side wont change

After the timid start from the whole team I think they’ve been fine. Tidy in possession and pressing well. Change one of them to Naalsund or Miyazawa and I think we’d lose the midfield battle easily.

Miyazawa played right winger in a flat 4-4-2 when Japan won the U20 Women's World Cup around 5 years ago. I would slot her in Geyse's spot later if nothing improves there.

Yeah she’ll most likely play on the wing or in Toone’s position for us. So that leaves us with Naalsund as the only option. As mentioned I don’t think replacing either with her would improve us.

We got Rachel Williams on the bench though  (no jinxing)

She will come on for Russo in minute 69, Skinner wont change that!

Brilliant reaction from Geyse after a heavy first touch. She’s a beast physically.

Can’t believe how vulnerable both of our first teams are after our own set pieces.
