I actually think the atmosphere at Goodison is better. Anfield is getting a bit like a place you wait for something to happen rather that encouraging it to happen, a bit like our place at times.
Getting? Was like that in the 80s. Contrary to incessantly repeated myth the ground was dead most of the time.

The ref literally only gave a yellow then because he was in direct line of sight of Klopp who was asking for it

Everton aren’t even playing football, they’re expecting to lose the ball every time they get it so they do. It’s as if they aren’t even bothering to try because of it

This might be controversial. Do you think the bigger you make the grounds it just means you get more people in who do not contribute to the atmosphere.

Everton are really bad going forward. Maybe even worse than us.

Dyche annoys me, same team as Bournemouth and we could play the same type of football but he makes us play negatively and for a 0-0 rather than push them like they do us.

Again, just froze expecting the tackle. Weak mentality all round

We actually have some if the best xG in the league overall. Dyche just likes to play for the 0-0 against big teams.

So dumb from Ashley Young. Pawson was itching to give it.

Plus the bigger grounds tend to belong to the more historically successful clubs whose fan base expect success to unfold before them rather than create an atmosphere that might engender it. Contra that Newcastle fans, for example, have a big ground and really do make a consistent noise.

Oh look, referees giving Liverpool favourable decisions. Who didn’t see this coming?

Said earlier on its shit seeing a red in a derby because it pretty much kills it. This was already so one sided. 2nd half will be brutal.

Anybody shocked? I’ve never seen Pawson act so late like this before. It’s like he’s on a five second delay
