I wonder how many goals have been conceded in the PL this season within 5 seconds of losing the ball by playing it out the back.

Or is it maybe them not playing a back three with a deep defensive line. Not playing two central midfielders. Not playing a creative player. Not having a manager who dislikes all of the players.

I mean it’s a completely ludicrous and bonkers suggestion that they look better cos Kane left. Replace Richarlison with Kane and Spurs would be significantly better.
Point is it's ridiculous to focus on Kane solving all our problems. Our football is dreadful and we'd create nothing for him.

It's a big what if but had we picked up Maddison instead of Mount I can't help but feel we'd be doing a lot better.
Maddison and Bruno can’t play in the same team whereas Mount is a different player altogether. Only explanation for me.

Feels like half of Spurs' goals have come like that. Burnley were absolutely kamikaze against them for it as well.

Would you have been willing to cash your chips on Bruno if it meant we got Maddison?

He's certainly less wasteful in possession.

People saying they have no soul, these new stadiums. The fans bring the soul.
That can be true of some new stadiums. But yeah, it’s dependent on what the fans are doing. The Emirates was library for years but after they found a bit of success to get the fans believing again, it’s actually been a pretty noisy ground the last 15 months or so.

I would love a wall of fans like they have here and Dortmund at OT, but with safe standing. Think that would ramp up the atmosphere. Is anything going to happen at Stamford Bridge development wise, they seemed to struggle finding another venue to build a new stadium?

Most people ignored Maddison even when he was available because of the rubbish logic "we're United, we're supposed to be aiming for players better than Maddison"
Think people are starting to change their minds and are realising if the club looks further afield and even down the leagues there are possibilities out there.

Maddison played for Leicester which got relegated, so that doesn't look very attractive to the fans, that is normal.

Thing is United sign Maddison and you know he'd be injured after three weeks such is our luck.

Spurs played extremely well against Arsenal, they are playing good football.
They are. I still feel they are due a thrashing but the players will react better than they did under Conte.

They'll create loads of chances with 'Angeball' but playing once a week makes such a big difference. Gel quicker.
Basically this.
Teams that play weekends and midweek do limited tactical or technical training during the season because once the season starts training is mostly focused on physical recovery.
Thats why you can see Tottenham adapting to a new style quickly. They have the time to train to do it.
Thats also why Arsenal managed to do it last season after a season without European football

Vicario doesn't get talked about enough, he's been excellent for them this season.

I think this is why Spurs needs to invest in January.

The drop off when Son and Maddison go off every game is massive.

It is, but I think he will only take them off in certain games. Against the big boys they will play the whole game.
However well they're managed to avoid fatigue related injuries, there is no prevention against injuries caused by contact. So not having cover for them when bad luck come around would derail their season.

Tottenham has been in top form. Taking their chances, and individual defensive heroic action cover their ass, but they're quite open and playing some nonsense balls. As bad as we are, we had our chances in the first half against them. Fulham this game too.

What it means is that he'd cost a bomb.
And knowing us, we'll let Sancho go for £10.20p and a bag of crisps. If we could sell him for proper money and one of two others (farewell, Harry!), we might have the cash. Not that any of this will happen

Should have spent that mount money on maddison. Ffs this club makes the worst of decision everytime when it comes to transfers.
