Difference is teams. Lets face it. This year in PL, did anyone got a penalty like ManCity got against us? I can’t remember. I hardly remember any penalties at all for those situations.
Like people said before. If VAR was consistent with these type of wrestling during corner kick, there would be pen every week, not once in a blue moon.
That’s a fundamental problem with VAR that is unsolvable. It’s human nature for refs to behave like that. Completely understandable.
That's quite the defeatism. VAR is the biggest problem in England of all places. If they are performing worse than others there is a reason for it. Better training will help them, clear guidelines followed by regular feedback. Someone mentioned that there are no VAR teams. It's just a mismatch of people each weekend. It stands to reason that having set teams of people will make communication easier and therefor the refereeing will improve.

Agree it was 5 added to begin then played another 4 or 5.. yep we know why..
We should be making a huge fuss about this. It was a clear choice not to show these replays. After both incidents there was plenty of time to show them. On my commentary they were obviously watching the replays and said one was probably a penalty. But nothing was shown to us and I can only think that it was to stop the controversy over the clear inconsistency.
As I said. Our club needs to understand how they should protect itself. Until then, We are going to have refs, VAR, media and few more against us. So far they have not learned anything.

I didn't see the incident but looking at that they're both going for the same ball.
It's not for me either..... but in terms of consistency, it absolutely is a red now, and this is where the problems are. Decisions are essentially coming down to whether the ref fancies punishing 50/50 stuff based on a screenshot of studs showing or similar.
Very much depends on the force used. Impossible to tell from a still image so would have to see a proper replay.
