Yep.

Absolutely fecking hate this format of everyone plays everyone. Meant we had about 20 dead rubbers.
Even when we finally got good games they barely meant anything. Not enough jeopardy.

I basically finally got into the tournament this week and now it's done.

I don't think we did a lot wrong today. Just outplayed. Surya was terrible and the decision to bowl Shami w new ball in hindsight may not have been the right call

That apart, the weirdest part about today is the fact that Australia seemed to know the conditions better than us.

We were going to bat if we won the toss
Rahuls innings was also pretty shit.

Initially i thought it was a great idea but as the tournament progressed, it definitely felt like there's a lot of breathing space for some teams. Definitely never wanna see this shit again.

We did plenty wrong today after the first 10 overs. Played like cowards. Rahul blocking Maxwell Marsh and head still bugs me. Then you have jadeja and sky who again fail to deliver.

Coming to bowing and fielding, rahul stunk behind the wickets and our bowlers were wayward. Spinners were poor as well.

And the worst of all Rohit's captaincy. 47-3 and he brought in spinner to release the pressure. Like I said today we played a team who were afraid of losing than that wanting to win.

India didn't have a pressure game in the tournament until the semi final

Rohit let the game slip away after Australia were 3 down. Trying to stop runs and not going for wickets didnt pay off as India didn’t have enough on the board due to brain dead batting. Once they got 140-150, you could see they panicked and it was over then.

Bowling has been poor since Ned game. They just decided to stop doing what made them good at the start of the tournament and going for wickets every ball. Apart from 2-3 overs, not a single over today had any control.

This loss is on captain and the team planning for the game. Completely misread your own conditions and outplayed in every department
KL Rahul also had a part in this. 66 off 107 when setting a target puts unnecessary pressure on the bowlers and other batters.

That argument doesn't check out as it is the same format for both teams. Plus, India had the advantage of being at home.

India bottled it plain and simple.

They got to the final in front of their own fans and Australia played the better cricket under pressure.

But that is Australia. They are rarely underdogs but they absolutely love being written off.

I wasn't making an argument?

I’m not sure India will have a better opportunity than this to win another one. Standout team in the tournament but just a bad performance on the day. Aussie bowling and fielding won it for them.

Shame India didn't win today. But full marks to Australia for showing how to get things done. India played for the occasion while Aussie played like Aussie.

Awful world cup really wasn't it. Dull, badly planned and badly played by many teams. No classic game
Every World Cup has its fair share of critics - moreso when their team doesn’t perform. Your English, correct? Only issue I/we had was India (possibly) changing and dictating pitches to their favor. Also, not a WC without the WI. :(

It’s not a loss. It’s a humiliation. 47/3 and couldn’t get a single wicket until the end. Also feck KL Rahul. Some would say he needed to built the innings. Feck that. The bastard couldn’t rotate the strike at all. Tuuk tuuk, tuuk tuuk bhenchod test match hai kya? chutiya.

Poor Cummins left hanging by himself on the stage.

I have no idea what that final sentence means but it reads brilliantly

The presentation looked like it was rehearsed for the wrong team, with Dear Leader looking like he was begged to come along at the end

Post match show just played a montage of Virat Kohli calling it virat’s World Cup. At least this nauseous worship of Indian team/Virat has come to an end
