Show me some crying fans
Ravi Shastri was so embarrassing in the last 20 minutes. Too busy crying over the losing team
Of course. They have to name a stadium after him and have the final there so he can be promoted even for this.If i remember correctly, it was actually renamed, quite possibly with this final in mind.
I started watching cricket in 2003 and watching us lose to Australia in that WC was heartbreaking to say the least. The fact that this has happened again - 6 more runs than what we could score 20 years ago and another ~200 run partnership from the Aussies to demolish us. I'm lost for words.
The number of times this team has let us down since 2011 is incredible. ALWAYS collapsed when it mattered the most. And this won't be the last.
They lost to Scotland in the qualification tournament
And many Indian fans worried this will happen. For India to be so cartoonishly dominant all tournament long, barely broken a sweat in any game, and then themselves get absolutely battered in the final in India is very funny. I think we all have to agree about that.
Awful world cup really wasn't it. Dull, badly planned and badly played by many teams. No classic game
Felt like an Indian organised ODI invitational. Not a world event.
I was worried for the KOs because this is where India chokes. Thought we got over that hurdle after beating our bogey team NZ but they had to play like cowards in the final. And many Indian fans worried this will happen.
England do ICC tournaments the best. 1/2 should be held here.

We have a huge advantage of having a great mix of Cricket fans represented in the grounds here (yes I know why that may be the case).
It hugely boosts a world event.
Yep. That's why the group stage performance was always a facade for this team. Never really tested, incompetitive teams. Played Australia in the opener who took time to gear up. Had no answers in the final.Never mind SA, India are the real chokers.
Lost T20WC Final in 2014.
Lost WC Semi in 2015.
Lost T20 WC Semi in 2016.

Is this the end of 50 over cricket?

yeah, mate. happens every game when the chasing team score the required amount of runs within the allotted overs.
He’ll probably get a stadium at this rateTake that Modi and your bunch of jingoistic fascists...
I wonder if Jay Shah will get it in the neck?

It pretty much points in that direction. Pakistan don't play this format for atleast a year. And they host an ICC event shortly after that.Is this the end of 50 over cricket?
Feck modi but cricket is pretty much all India has in terms of national unity at this point.Take that Modi and your bunch of jingoistic fascists...

Pretty much this. I was hoping we'd get revenge for that Ponting 141, but we lost to a Head 137. This hurts more, because that was arguably the greatest Australian team, and this was possibly the greatest Indian ODI side. Our greats in Kohli and Rohit turned up the whole tournament, even in the knockouts. Still not good enough.
Turns out that much like Ganguly fecking up the toss then, we effectively did the same today. Didn't do our homework.
Format has been shite, more knockout games would have helped things. Not a memorable tournament.
