I think we will win an ugly game despite the injuries. Our record against bottom half sides under ETH is very good even when we play bad. Think we will scrape over the line 1-0 or 2-1

Expect this will be the side and it really does raise the question of what the feck was the point in signing Mount with such gaping holes everywhere

First game of a week that could define our season. Two wins and a draw, in that order, I'd be delighted with.

Can't see Shaw starting. ETH seems very risk averse about players returning from injury especially when it's as long as Shaw has been out

Mental that even now the international break makes you look forward to Utd games.

Not his biggest fan, but finally some good news about Shaw nearly back, he's sorely missed on that left side.

Bit harsh on ol Luke. He'll do great i bet. Too soon for the Everton game i reckon.
Don’t get me wrong, I love him…..me saying he’s a bloated chonker who specialises in destroying breakfast buffets is just a term of endearment

This will be a loss as our little flowers will wilt under intense pressure. But it will be a moral victory as we are helping Everton stay up in PL. Win -Win.

Nostradamus: we start surprisingly well despite the atmosphere, keep the ball and calm things down. In the first 20 minutes both Bruno and McTominay have great chances to put us ahead, but squander them with poor finishing. In the 21st minute we get a corner, from which Maguire heads a looper back across goal to no one, and we get caught on the counter and concede to the first shot against us. We then give away an unnecessary corner from the restart, concede again. Keep the ball for the next 70 minutes, create nothing, get a dodgy pen to give us hope but Everton easily see it out.

As the team that played against the most sides with a "new manager bounce" last season, it feels only right that we face the unprecedent "Minus 10 Points Bounce" here.

Can see it being a draw, think we'll take an early(ish) lead but concede late on.

Any time we roll up here in bad form, it's a disaster. Apart from last year, they seem a bit better this time around. Can't see a win here unfortunately.

Surprised to see us slight favourites at the bookies. Don't see us scoring.

Everton are going to be up for it from the very first kick of the ball. We do very badly against teams that press us with high energy. Our away form is tragic, our performances this season have been woeful, we've clawed out victories when we can but as soon as we face a team in decent form we lose. The Everton fans will smell blood. It's going to be painful.

I'd be shocked if we actually put in a good performance. Ten Hag will ship out McTominay into the midfield yet again and Antony on the right or something and I'll want to gouge my eyes out.

    Maybe we win, maybe not.
I know what you mean. But we do have more quality than them.

I would think they may start pressing us high but will end up dropping deep and we’ll get a lot of the ball but will struggle to get through them. We’ll make the usual poor decisions in danger areas and proper chances will be limited.

I could see 1-1 with each team scoring from a set piece. Self-eye-gouging may be appropriate.

I just hope we do press. When we do with Dyche it's when we put in our best performances and control games. For some reason though there are games when we decide not to and sit back and we go from a game that was very winnable to losing 1-0 and being depressed again.

I predict you will start pressing us high but, if we show enough to suggest we can play through it and get some overloads in your defensive third, you’ll go Plan B and drop back. I don’t see Dyche ignoring alarm bells.

He doesn't really do that. He just plays one or the other and rags it to the end.

Can see this one being a draw. There inform at the minute and will have ago at us straight from the off. Think we’ll snatch a late point.

I’m predicting the opposite. Think we’ll be loosing and snatch a late draw. The minute they go 1 up, If they go 1 up, they’re most likely to sit back and invite pressure from us.

I expect ETH will start Lindelof, Antony and Martial, but I would persist with Rashford, I feel he is a better option as a CF and hopefully he can finally get a goal.

It will be tough though, Everton look difficult to beat and the squad seem a lot more together than they were last year. The home crowd will be up for it and we’ll go into ourselves and invite pressure. Be surprised if we don’t concede and cannot see us scoring 2.

    1-1 prediction.

Nothing galvanises a team quite like the feeling of unfair treatment, so with that being said, we'll win easily seeing as Arnold was unfairly sacked last week...

I have a sneaky feeling that this is the game where one of our attackers will score a goal.

I mean, they simply have to now right? :(

I think it might be a game for set pieces. We’re not that great going forward and they’ll be stronger in the air.
