I think Spurs next two are City and Newcastle, I’d expect us to be two or three points clear of them by Christmas. As ridiculous as it sounds we’ve put ourselves right in the mix for top four and is a tilt at the title really out of the question ? We looked miles off City when they beat us but this is a results business and we are churning out the wins.

    Newcastle
    Chelsea
    West Ham
    Liverpool

All before Christmas I wouldn't be so sure

That's confirmation you aren't going to accept factual information. Discussion with me over regardless if you are a kid or old fella that was asleep for the opening 20 mins of todays game.
Nah, you just have really poor reading comprehension. At no point did I contest if the numbers you posted were accurate - thus I’m not not accepting “factual” information. I said those numbers aren’t mutually exclusive with us having had a horrendous first half, which we did. Almost as if there’s more to football than sats you pulled arbitrarily - besides, and again, my assessment of our first half isn’t based on or predicated by how poor Everton were, kid.

You’re free to think whatever you want of that first half, just do so without trying to convince me.

Other than trying to have the last word what are you trying to achieve here? You had a post/view corrected with factual info and that was something you should have accepted instead of strangely allowing it hit a nerve for you.

Nah. You haven't corrected anything. I said United was shite in the first half and you responded with "It was only a poor last 15 mins to the 1st half. It was 2-1 with shots on goal 20 mins played and Everton with a mere 80 passes." poor reading comprehension and flawed reasoning somehow made you think those random numbers invalidate or correct what I said - they don't. United was shite in the first half.

You quoted me and have been doing the same since trying to convince me that "2-1 with shots on goal and Everton having 80 passes" means United wasn't shite in the first half. That's your understanding of both my statement and football, not mine.

In terms of hitting a nerve, you haven't - I said "nah" to your attempt at swaying me to your flawed interpretation of arbitrary numbers and you attempted being condescending. I replied in similar tone out of amusement.

You were corrected and as I suspected you are looking to get the last word. You simply don't want to be convinced and have chosen to ignore factual information.

“Mainoos been the best player on the pitch… but I’m giving MOTM to Garnacho”.

    Such a kernob
Not really. Mainoo might have an individual all rounder performance, but Garnacho wonder goal had greater impact in this game. If not for the goal, 0-0 with that kind of flow of the game we would have likely not be able to get the other goals. The goal allowed us the cushion to shut off shop to soak up pressure until Everton eased up in second half. Mainoo couldn't fix our team overall issues where we still conceded lot of chances, and let Everton all over us for the large part of the game.

MOTM award can be just for decisive player on the result.

Nah, you just have poor reading comprehension. Your random numbers don't change the fact United was shite in the first half, these are just harsh realities you're struggling with.

Your point fails because Garnacho would never have got the POTM award if it was a tap-in that he scored at the same time in the game.

"harsh realities you're struggling with" which is clearly you not me. Not "random numbers" but match stats proving that United weren't shite for 30 minutes of the 1st half.

You don't have a point when we're talking about this game, this rare wonder early goal, in a game where the advantage it brought, allowed us to instead of trying to go against the flow of the game to get a goal.

There is no if in this situation. It happened how it happened.

You don't know the meaning of random or arbitrary. You don't understand that "2-1 with shots on goal and Everton having 80 passes" is not mutually exclusive with United having a shite half.

You can scroll through this thread or the post-match or even the Ten Hag thread for the consensus on the first half. United was shite.

You realise that the bookies odds are dependant on where people place their money? As in if lots of people put money on an Everton win, the bookies will shorten their odds in retaliation?
Doesn’t work like that on exchanges or spreads. If there’s value out there, it will be hoovered up and the market will correct.
