He's been our best midfielder. It's not his fault he has to play with McTominay who has half the amount of passes.
Mainoo has been very poor. I know he is a young player, and fans want to defend him. But to be fair, we lost the game because of our central midfield. And Mainoo was really poor today.

Newcastle just seem to have that extra fire in their bellies when they play us. They comprehensively outplayed us and fully deserved the win.

How the hell did Joelinton go from flop striker to a beast midfielder? Their best player today alongside Livramento, who were should’ve been in for instead of fannying around with Mount etc.

3 shots in the first 80minutes compared to Newcastles 22. Doesn't matter if we rallied in the final 10mins, Newcastle should have been out of sight. Utterly dominated.

you sit up and watch that and two hours later realise it would have been more fun to have a bath outside in cold custard - officially one shot on target, but I reckon the one blocked by shar should count. but two is a disgrace too

He will start Rashford next game, and McT and maybe Martial.

I don't expect to get anything in any game anymore when I see these starting so don't even get annoyed when they lose.

They must be fantastic at training or following instructions. Absolute shite at all other times.
Hojlund was just as shit as Martial. Every striker would have a shit game in this team today.

McT is surely the weakest link.
No defensive presence and not enough touches of the ball.
So the argument might be he is asked to be a more attacking midfielder?
    So then you'd expect ...
    Through balls,
    Chances created,
    Assists,
    One on ones,
    Touches in opposition box.

    Those stats? Zero, none, zilch.

    And he keeps getting picked.

If we nicked a draw, EtH would have come out and tried to convince us that it was a very good performance

Terrible performance and a miracle we only lost 1-0. Liverpool away in two weeks is going to be fun.

Take his name out and replace it with several others and you'd still be correct. We are a shite show of a team.

Rashford didnt even play mid week . This performance is one to remember for all the wrong reasons. Its definitely puts him in the sell bracket. He should have been fresh as a daisy.

They don't have better players, better manager.
They have both tbh. Bruno G and Joelinton are far better than McTominay and Mainoo. Trippier's far better than any of our full backs apart from Shaw who was playing cb. Gordon and Almiron have been better than any of our wingers this season and Isak is better than any of our strikers. Howe is also a better manager than ETH on top of all that

There hasn’t been a more deserved defeat all season.
Until the last 20 minutes we were not in this game at all.
Our current league position is false, with better performing teams below us.

If that disallowed goal had been given, I would have welcomed the point, with Newcastle right on out tails, but it would have just been buying time to the next game and not a sign of any sort of turnaround.

That Rashford and Martial made it out for the second half, tells me the manager is gutless.
One stinking the place out, the other likewise, and arguing back against instruction.

    Door mat.
He treats players unfairly. He has his favourites.who get away with things others don't. We have to have a meritocracy. That doesn't exist.

I have stopped watching Liverpool and City-games - what's the point ? At least under OGS we had moments where we managed to beat them - now we are as far away as we were under Mourinho

110% on the manager. A blind man would have picked a better 11 tonight. Will be fired in due course.

To be fair to Hojlund, I think he was the first Man United player to win a 50-50, about 87 minutes in.

That was a reality check, for me. Because I thought we had a chance this game. Truth be told, we were just not good enough. Newcastle are a solid team being managed v well.

Our fixture list doesn't get easier.

Squad is finding out that there is no hiding place.

Let’s see where we are at the start of the year. Until then, just stop watching or support the team and the manager

two points behind the mighty Newcastle with very important players still out

Really is time for ETH to pick up his p45, he’s just the most stubborn and inflexible manager in the industry. We should look to change him to De Zerbie asap, all United fans are fed up watching this dire brand of tumescent football.

It’s December the 2nd and he’s lost 10 games from 21 matches. He should go within the next 2-3 games after no European football in any format for the 2024 will be played by one of the most abstract United sides in living memory, no fight, no energy, no penetration and a Manager that’s clearly past his sell by date!

I keep saying when do fans switch is it 10 defeats, 12 or 15 because I genuinely believe this United side will lose at least 4 more before 2024 is ushered in !

Sir Jim’s most important task will be finding a truly elite manager that’s up to the challenge. Ajax will need a coach soon, please pack your stuff Eric and get yourself back to a club that fits your ability, United are far too big a club for you to manage!

How many players in that Newcastle team have been improved under Eddie Howe? Lascelles, Joelinton, Almeron and when players like Livaremento and Gordon come in, they look fantastic.

Who has Ten Hag improved? He has pissed off or alienated more than he has improved.

I think they know he's not the man.
