No 6-pack, just 2Pac
Behind closed door game and he's already giving us the fandango. Like what were you expecting man this man has not been playing for so long he forgot how the ball texture feels like, man.
They play Nigeria in the round of 16 nextWe got our wish. Cameroon through to the quarters.
Some just want to see if he exists.I don’t get all the “he HAS to play” nonsense. Good young keeper. But if Heaton is there I’m taking him. Why is Bayindr being treated like he’s young De Gea. Hasn’t done anything to justify that kind of hype. This place really can go loopy sometimes.
He's still in the honeymoon phase as a new signing who hasn't played. It reminds me a bit of the van de Beek situation a couple of years ago. The longer he goes without a start, the more the mystique builds.I don’t get all the “he HAS to play” nonsense. Good young keeper. But if Heaton is there I’m taking him. Why is Bayindr being treated like he’s young De Gea. Hasn’t done anything to justify that kind of hype. This place really can go loopy sometimes.
Maybe due to Onana being so hot and cold, Ten hag is desperately trying to play him into some kind of form, so he doesn't really have the luxury of swapping him out for the cup games atmBizarre that he hasn't played already - I expected him to get some minutes in the League Cup at least
He is a Turkish international (not first choice perhaps but had a few starts for them) so can't be that bad
Ye it probably is something along those lines, plus with the constant injuries in defence Ten Hag needed to keep as much consistency as possibleMaybe due to Onana being so hot and cold, Ten hag is desperately trying to play him into some kind of form, so he doesn't really have the luxury of swapping him out for the cup games atm
McTominay in goal with licence to roam wherever he wants on the pitchETH may try McTominay on goal. He is tall and strong.
The lack of rotation is really annoying but it's been a feature of every single one of our managers since Fergie (who was great at it)Bizarre that he hasn't played already - I expected him to get some minutes in the League Cup at least

Scottish Neuer.McTominay in goal with licence to roam wherever he wants on the pitch
he might be a good shot stopper but can he pass well enough for the goalkeeping position. I am seeing a 90+7 corner kick winner in him though.ETH may try McTominay on goal. He is tall and strong.
Cameroon play Nigeria on Saturday evening and could well be out of AFCON. We play Newport on Sunday so if that’s the case then he almost certainly will return to England in the morning and will feature in our game. One can't rule out the possibility of Onana leaving his NT behind and taking a private jet back to Newport County's ground and insisting on starting in the upcoming match. And worse, ETH agreeing to it.
Rush goalie. Got to be worth a shot.McTominay in goal with licence to roam wherever he wants on the pitch
Almost indeed.Cameroon play Nigeria on Saturday evening and could well be out of AFCON. We play Newport on Sunday so if that’s the case then he almost certainly will return to England in the morning and will feature in our game.
It's classic RedCafe. As first team results fall off a cliff, the clamour to bring in players who have been frozen out or largely untried intensifies - forgetting the very obvious fact that the manager and coaching staff see these players every single day in training...so there's probably a very good reason they're not considered worthy of minutes.I don’t get all the “he HAS to play” nonsense. Well, considering that DDG wasn't as bad as Onana has been, fair enough he was bullied alot but that comes with experience and coaching, he still got dropped for Lindergard. It's classic RedCafe. Logistically it's near impossible for him to get to South Wales in time.Cameroon play Nigeria on Saturday evening and could well be out of AFCON. We play Newport on Sunday so if that’s the case then he almost certainly will return to England in the morning and will feature in our game.
Or we all just want to see how truly terribly Bayindir must be!It's classic RedCafe. I’m sure we can find a way to prevent this new goalkeeper we bought for £5m from playing any football.Logistically it's near impossible for him to get to South Wales in time.
Nigeria Vs Cameroon is at 8. Earliest game will end is 10. Given post match stuff/ getting to the airport the earliest he could be on a flight would be something like 2/3am. Fly to London is 10 hours. Then he's got to get to Wales...
Ha, fair pointI’m sure we can find a way to prevent this new goalkeeper we bought for £5m from playing any football.
Imagine he turns out better than we bought for £45mI’m sure we can find a way to prevent this new goalkeeper we bought for £5m from playing any football.
I don't think he'd be able to prove that in this particular game anyway as I don't expect Newport to spend too much time in our half, though you never know with The Tactician.Imagine he turns out better than we bought for £45m
All the better for us.Imagine he turns out better than we bought for £45m
All right, Take a breath and go away.He couldn't Bay a start, there's no way he's getting In the team, ten Hag holds Onana Dir.
I've always felt that rush goalie is a underused tactic in professional football. I remember using it to great effect on the all-weather pitch in middle schoolMcTominay in goal with licence to roam wherever he wants on the pitch
Yep play 11 outfield players, and use a ‘score and you’re in’ system. While we are there we could replace the goalposts with jumpers too.Rush goalie. Got to be worth a shot.
I’d go further and say the most sensible thing we could do is play Heaton as our number one keeper for the rest of the season, Onana is awful and Bayindir is seemingly some how worse.I'd start Heaton against Newport. Would be the most sensible thing to do.
