It is a huge deal actually. Especially if you have a shit season and your attitude in general stinks
This.

Imagine saying these things are not a big deal for a player who's already rightly accused of not putting in enough efforts on the pitch.

Out of maybe around 50 players he knows over the years from England NT and United he seems to be close with the wrong uns. Lingard and Sancho. And their behaviors are the same too. I wonder why.
Pull this shenanigans at any other top club he'll be booed off the park.

In here he got adulation, excuses, and still being applauded and half the media covering his track.

Not to mention our fans seems to applaud anything and anyone that breath in the field these days regardless of performance and attitude

I will openly admit that I used to be a fully paid up member of the Rashford fan club.

But I am absolutely sick of the sight of him now.

He took a 1 hour flight from one part of the country to another to report for training once. You are completely missing the point if you are transfixed on him travelling from Belfast to Manchester before training. The club and media would be completely hypocritical to focus on that considering professional elite football is entirely dependent on short haul flights to operate.

A story of him going out clubbing in Manchester and then allegedly reporting sick the next day, unable to train, would be equally damning.
But i’m not fixated on the bit about him traveling, what i am saying is that doing it in a completely different city, which requires him to fly back in a private jet, makes it worse than it already is. Doesn’t matter if it’s just a 1 or 2 hour flight, simply because it has further negative effect on his body In terms of fatigue. Even in the post you’re quoting i’m stating that doing it in Belfast is a combination that makes it worse. I’ve already said several times that the main problem is him going clubbing hours before he’s due to show up at training.

Even if he’d reported to training in a full kit and «ready to go» it would’ve damning as there’s no way he’s in a proper physical state and it adds to the risk of injury.

Yet another player who had a purple patch season, and then the club is dumb enough to give him a contract no other club in world football would give this player.

His attitude stinks and his performances on the pitch have been even worse. Just get rid of him. It would be a big wake up call to all players in that squad.

Think this has allowed because we have let players think they are bigger than the club and definitely bigger than their managers. That definitely needs to change. I am sure we will soon be getting another statement from Rashford's advisors saying it is all a pack of lies.

All players have PR teams, but other clubs seem to keep some sort of control over them, we let them run riot and they become a distraction and the publicity the generate is quite often to the detriment of the club. I know everything with some players is about social media clicks, but there has to be some limit to it.

Seems like he's just waiting for the manager to get sacked before he starts taking football seriously again.
Great attitude that.
I can’t wait to see the back of him. I can take this shit if he puts in a shift. But the bloke just walks all over the pitch.

If this ensures he dosnt get picked, then its good news, blessing in diguise.

Club will down play it to preserve value, then hopefully sell the lazy wanker in summer and give our FFP a huge boost.

Ineos...Dont mess this up

That's the issue really, we have had party animals before, but they always produced on the pitch. If this was last season, he would get away with it, however this season he has been abysmal.

I’m just glad we didn’t give him a massive contract that no other club will be willing to pay so that it’s easy to move him on.

right?

So did the club and the manager not know he was in Belfast and having a night out?

85% had it right on here that it was time to sell before that new contract.

Basicaly he put in some effort for a few months last year to get a bumper new contract and since then he's gone back to minimal effort.

Rangnick called it. That entire team which finished under him needs to be gone.

A decent midtable PL player who gets paid as one of the best in the world.

Let's be honest, we would do the same.

Anyway, the contract extension was a mistake. No team was really gonna offered him what we did. It will be hard to sell him now, but if we are lucky and get something around 40m (and his wages off) we should be over the moon.

People don't see that these players have a different obligation and level of professionalism than the every day Joe working for the government.... And on top, if you dont put in effort at work, you will be fired. Makes his stupid goal celebration look even more stupid now

Need to write a plea to PSG/Qatar and hope they oblige

Where's that "Sell or Keep" poll again?

Anyway, it will be interesting to see how EtH approach this. If I were him that knows I'd be sacked in the summer anyway, I wouldn't give a shit and keep playing him.

I don't like him as a player but such things could happen. I don't see a big deal.
He planned to fly back on friday morning after a night out to train the same day. Even if he didn’t call in sick that is unprofessional.

Doesn't surprise me. His attitude on the pitch has been disgraceful all season. He's just another immature and lazy bellend with too much money, no different to his mates Lingard and Sancho.

I hope Ineos have the ruthlessness to bin off all unprofessional wasters like him

Couldn't care less what he does off the pitch if he delivers while on it. But he isn't.

I've been making a case for his sale for a long time now and got laughed at many times before, because he is a "class player" and "a Manc born and bred". Utter joke, of course. It will set a new standard if he is sold this summer, but I very much doubt it. It is something I'm eager to see happen, though.
