His family were in the house while the robbery took place? Are all the Grealish's just thick? I figured you would notice a robbery.

Seems these guys have to hire security when they are playing to care for their families. That's pretty shit.

We read these stories a lot.

Footballers need to start spending some of their millions on a bit of extra security.

The group committed these are likely to have pre-planned for every precaution compared to your local break ins.

It would be hard to believe he hasn’t got something in place.

too busy spending money on watches and jewels that can sit in a box waiting for someone to rob it.

My house was burgled before so I know what its like, its not nice - but I couldnt give a feck about watches and jewels. It disgusts me

And another thing - are the police dogs and the fecking helicopter scrambled for all home break ins or just those of famous people?

People that don't rate Grealish really don't understand football. He is England's best player and the team should be built around him. Also certainly better than Doku. I wish we had gotten him a few years ago.

I figured you would notice that they did notice someone was upstairs robbing the place, so they hit a panic button to alert the authorities, all the while probably being absolutely shit scared as they hid in the house until the police arrived. That would require reading the article though so maybe you're just...

Anyway. I can't imagine how they felt, and this shit is getting tiring. You leave your loved ones at home whilst you go to work and there's a risk that some dickheads are going to rob you because they know you're out.

You know how fecking huge his house is? They probably were sat in the other end of it, this ain’t some pokey one bedroom.

working in a prison I know exactly how much this kind of thing happens. People get robbed while sleeping in their bed and even worse… stay safe people. Pay for any security you can, it’s scary out there.

He’s not even City’s best English player, let alone anywhere near Kane or Bellingham.

Pleasant.

15 years ago we got robbed while we were upstairs in our Uni house. They climbed in through a window, took some laptops and ipods, then unlocked the back door and left. We didn't hear a thing as we had a film on.

You’re fecking mad. Nowhere near Bellingham or Kane.

£1m worth of watches and jewellery seems a bit nuts to keep around at home.

Bit victim blamey, no?
Not my intention, just feels like a lot to be keeping around at home.

The amount that got stolen is a bit inconsequential as I'm guessing insurance will look after it. Something like that is traumatic regardless of the amount taken.

Understood

Yeah home robberies are no joke. Takes some time for your mental state to recover after going through one.

Just read he's played 24 times this season and has 3 goals and 1 assist. Also doesn't seem to be starting much recently.

Will never understand how Grealish gets a free pass from the media and most fans.

Has not been worth the 100million spent at all. Seems to have some issues off the pitch too.

Good player but no thanks. Will be on the plane to the Euros but shouldn't start.

Would be great if he went back to Villa and helped establish them as a consistent top four threat, if he could revert back from the player he’s become at City anyway

Fans need to get over this obsession with transfer values. It's not like the player put a gun to Villa's head to demand he go at 100m. City have the money, and he's been of good use to them especially in their CL run. That is why the media doesn't care. If we were in City's position who would care about Antony?

Yes, because there’s a real chance they won’t win the league this season. Jack has had little influence in two of the last 3 seasons, he’s obviously not the player Pep thought he was

What the player he has become at City (control player) offers to the team is not required this season or not yet. Won't surprise me if he comes back in the CL team from the quarters.
City need goals and creativity with the loss of Mahrez, Gundo, KDB's injury, Foden blowing hot and cold. Doku at least attacks the fullbacks.

While he hasn't been great this season, I do feel fans will take a monster season from the likes of Sala or Ronaldo and just auto-pilot their opinions expecting everyone to reach those levels when in reality most premier league players don't reach double figures every year.

Plus he is at City so they have the luxury of rotating and machine rolls on...but it does limit the minutes each plyers get to play themselves into some form.

I remember a daft stat that Sancho had more G/A then Jack's treble winning season. Mental :houllier:

Partly due to the mandatory 1 year embedding process + injuries this season

People insist on seeing Grealish through the G+A lens but that's not his role at City

Indeed, and I've made the point that City's defensive issues this season are partly due to packing too many players focused on moments into their squad, causing them more grief from transitions. I would be shocked if he doesn't play a significant role in the CL

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Jack Grealish's role in this Guardiolan Man City system.

Wonder would they sell him to us if they thought they could recoup a good number from that fee? Hes an expensive sub and would be great on our left, with rashford on the right.

The poor lad is injured now apparently. Who will fall over now to 'win' them free kicks? Speaking of City, if you want a laugh, have a look at the Talksport YouTube video of some Bitter called Jay phoning in to say that the media is Red. United, Liverpool, Arsenal and Spurs (not Chelsea) dreamed up FFP when the Sheik arrived at Wastelands as it was then and the charges have been proved to be false. Don't know what he's on but it's typical of them. They can't have a conversation without mentioning United. Must be feeling the pressure from Arsenal and Liverpool plus the verdict from the PL. Hilarious.

They hate us more than they love their own club. It’s sad. Forever in our shadow.

The other camp tend to argue about his chances created though, so he is supposedly this super creative player that is brilliant at creating chances. However, we should not view him based on his number of assists. Could it just be that he lacks that final finesse in his passes or finishes that causes him to lack end product? Then there's the third-fourth assist, or hockey-assist, argument being made - well, City tend to have 20 moves before a goal - having a flick or a short pass before someone else assists or scores isn't that impressive necessarily as you play as one of three forward players.

Also, hasn't he become turn-back Grealish at this point?

He's been underwhelming for them. Seems like an entertaining bloke though.

Digging this up, but as a watch collector I don't miss an opportunity to research peoples watch collections. Grealish has been photographed in both a Rose Gold and White Gold Nautilus, that's already in the region of £400k right there in two watches. I'd take either of the two over a Lambo any day of the week.

Some of his watch collection
