I hope Jim is on the phone right now. We need a fresh start under a fresh regime.

Doesn't matter who replaces him - an interim will do until we work out the strategy. Sack him now and try something else.

What we have now is not working and he will never change. Can't keep doing the same things and expecting a different outcome.

How is it knee-jerking after 26 league games and a CL campaign ffs? It doesn’t even make any sense.

He has been shite. It’s been a terrible season and the stats are all there to prove it. There is absolutely none of it, not even a small part of it, that could be described as knee jerk.

Today was the 15th loss of the season.

Hardly knee jerk. I wasn't one of them, but prior to this loss, there were plenty of fans calling for ten Hag to be replaced. Unfortunately, he's not been good enough this season, and if this any other manager at any other big club, you and I both know they'd be gone.

Because of the shite players. So should he get another season with proper backing for a chance to bring that Ajax style of play?
He doesn’t deserve any more chances to bring in players he wants. The majority of them have been failures.

I said with proper backing....not the players he wants but the style of the player he needs......it's up to Ashworth and company to find the players.

I really do think the more negative fans just stay away while we're winning and log on whenever we're losing.
In my case, that is absolutely true. It’s nothing to do with the results or the performances. He once stole a parking space on me and I never forgot it. It’s a personal vendetta for me.

I just can’t wait for the next loss.

Invest millions and millions behind the scenes just to give someone who has had this particular season another chance?

There is absolutely no way. Why would we hire excellence in every position at the club, but “give the manager a proper chance”.

He is not excellent, and he has proven it enough times already.

Not Tuchel and not Potter.

No one who has failed at Chelsea, and we should be fine.

I've been in favor of keeping him on up until this point as I felt he was still a better coach than some of the others out there. But I think keeping him on at this point will do more harm than good. Even a coach like Sean Dyche will not set things up for us to be this open after it's being constantly taken advantage of. ETH will not change things and his stubbornness should cost him here.

So who is going to avoid FFP issues and rebuild the entire team once more? That's certainly not Ashworth's job, he may not even but in position in the summer window, so a tad early to be appropriating blame in his direction.

He brought those shite players. If he needs such a perfect system to do everything for him, why not just get De Zerbi?

Nah, I'm not having that. Managers with worse squads have been able to go in and implement their style from the off. Ten hag has had long enough to do it and hasn't.

Because if it wasn’t then we wouldn’t have had 3 weeks of silence in this thread until our first defeat in what 8 games and the first one of 2024?

Maybe it isn’t knee jerking but there appears to be many posters revelling in the fact we’ve lost and have come back in droves to moan.

This despite SJR even saying the structure hasn’t been in place for any manager to be successful here.

Why do people still want Nagelsmann here? Wasn't he mediocre at Bayern, at least I heard, how did Bayern play under him?

Okay, but what have you seen to suggest that he is capable of then coaching those players to a league title?

We've conceded 100 shots in the last 5 games. We let Newport get 17 shots off or something. We have no tactics, it's mostly counters which is a tactic.. or? We have created a good amount of chances recently which our players are too poor to finish i guess so that is.. a positive? Uhm. Should've been sacked for losing 7-0 to Liverpool yet he's still here almost a year later. Then we get knocked out of an easy CL group. Now we probably just choked the CL qualification for next season. Please make it stop. Zidane, please.

Simeone Inzaghi is p4p the best manager in the world right now and is the guy we should be gunning for. He has been excellent for 4 seasons between Lazio and Inter and is one of only two managers that I have seen in recent times to make 3-5-2 actually look attacking, exciting and rock solid at the same time. He's the only world class manager that we have any chance in hell of landing and that's because he's at Inter.

I would say if he finishes outside the top five this season then there's not much argument for keeping him.
You can allow for injuries to keep you from top four but sixth is dreadful for United.

I really don’t think it’s revelling. It is pure frustration. Surely we have seen enough by now to now want to risk Ten Hag under the new regime.

There isn’t anywhere near enough to suggest he would be the correct choice under a new regime.

People are sick of the same performances, results and excuses. No one here wants to see the team lose, but it couldn’t be more obvious that we don’t have the right coach in charge.

The knee jerking was that we'd turned a corner because we got players like Casemiro back from injury. Performances didn't actually change, fortune with results did but it was seen as vindication.

Blame? I'm not blaming Ashworth.....my point being, ETH had help in Holland, at Utd he's been on his own.
