Europa League / Conference League 23/24

Assuming Villa get through tonight, it's hard to look past them for the Conference thing.

Emery is basically the final boss of second rate European competitions.

Likes of Lille and Fiorentina are far better than Ajax.

Fenerbache bit of a wildcard with the obligatory difficult trip to Istanbul.

To me it's a far harder field than what West Ham encountered this time last year up to the final.

Their missing out on CL is expected. Us missing out would be a shock. That's why all the focus on us.
Liverpool who before last season was expected to be the main title challenger for Man City, them missing out on CL football a much bigger shock than if United miss out this season.

I 10-2 think this tie is over.

Nah I don't think that works either.

Qarabag winning, jeez
Deserved. WTF was Alonso thinking starting this 31 year old loanee striker. That sends a bad message to the team, like this is some clown match. If you told me that guy won the starting striker position in a fan lottery, I´d believe you.

Villa arent very impressive. Ajax are fecking dire this season, but they're still very much in this game.

If Taylor knew how much money Azerbaijan has, he would not have done that. :nervous:

We really are at a historically low point when it comes to refeering aren't we? Half these people shouldn't be allowed within 100 meters of a football pitch, nevermind being referees :wenger: :wenger: :wenger:

So Liverpool just became huge favs for the EL and Leverkusen´s undefeated streak is over due to Alonso´s unreal arrogance.

Kinda sad that this referee can give a second yellow, but not for 2 fouls in 1 move in the first half

Liverpool were always huge favs for the EL, don't kid yourself. Nobody thought Leverkusen would ever pose a real threat to them, come on

Also good on Qarabag for not letting the refs screwing them without lube get to their heads. Hopefully they hold on now

This Brighton team just doesn't have the firepower needed to pull off a big comeback like this. They've had the possession and have had the ball in the right areas. Even had the chances to get more goals. Just haven't got that extra piece or two needed at this level. Gave themselves too much to do in the first leg.
