Football wasn't as data intensive then as it has been in the last 10 years, I think they'd have had to have adapted more if they were still in charge now.So sir Alex and David did all of those jobs that we hire some many people right now, just by themselves? Impressive

Interesting, didn't think they'd file a formal complaint.Paywalled, but in summary : Qatar complaining about SJR's comments that Jassim may not exist and that they couldn't provide proof of funds. They're also demanding “immediate corrective action” be made to the club’s SEC filings and accuse Ratcliffe of making comments in his interview in February that represented a breach of the confidentiality agreement signed by all parties concerning the sales process.

The Masterplan, why do you think he was happy with minority? Because he wants to be bought out by an angry Qatar flexing their financial muscle.Big Sir Big Jim goading Shake Jissum into buying the entire club for an exorbitant price.
Careful, they might come after you now.Qatar need to quit bitching.
They still haven't to be fair. It's all hot air.Interesting, didn't think they'd file a formal complaint.
So in reality they are upset he told on them after they tried to sabotage his relationship with fans by funding hit pieces about SJR "lacking money for a full bid". Smoke and mirrors.Paywalled, but in summary : Qatar complaining about SJR's comments that Jassim may not exist and that they couldn't provide proof of funds. Tbf to @Rood, though, he was absolutely coining it in from the Qatari deep state, so his enthusiasm was understandable.Manchester United shouldn't be state owned.
Some people will never understand why many United fans feel so strongly about this.
Some of the cheerleading for Jassim/Qatar on here was sickening.
Agreed, it was a disgrace.Manchester United shouldn't be state owned.

Agree that United shouldn't be state owned, but in fairness, those wanting Jassim to buy were generally of the opinion that he was independent of the state of Qatar.Manchester United shouldn't be state owned.

The article suggests formal complaints have been sent to United's lawyersThey still haven't to be fair. It's all hot air.
I really don’t think they cared what he was all that much, they just saw dollar signs and were twerking harder than the glazers for that filthy cash.Agree that United shouldn't be state owned, but in fairness, those wanting Jassim to buy were generally of the opinion that he was independent of the state of Qatar.
I wish!Tbf to @Rood, though, he was absolutely coining it in from the Qatari deep state, so his enthusiasm was understandable.
The way this all played out makes me even more convinced that it was not a state bid, pretty sure the Qatari state would have paid whatever the Glazers wantedAgree that United shouldn't be state owned, but in fairness, those wanting Jassim to buy were generally of the opinion that he was independent of the state of Qatar.
Does anyone truly believe there are little known Qatari billionaires without very strong ties to the state?Agree that United shouldn't be state owned, but in fairness, those wanting Jassim to buy were generally of the opinion that he was independent of the state of Qatar.
Given how much the Glazers wanted, I doubt anyone would've actually paid that much for an outright sale. The way this all played out makes me even more convinced that it was not a state bid, pretty sure the Qatari state would have paid whatever the Glazers wanted
Interview with the Raine Group boss suggested they were not that far away from the number the Glazers had in mind
Qatar is complaining to whom?Paywalled, but in summary : Qatar complaining about SJR's comments that Jassim may not exist and that they couldn't provide proof of funds. People just saw it as a click of the fingers and United are where they used to be and where City are now. That’s what millions signed up for and haven’t been close to enjoying for 10-15 years now. I’m not calling them all glory hunters but that’s the truth.Manchester United shouldn't be state owned.

Exactly. I never wanted the Qatari bid but some fans made out that I should just f*** off and support another club then.People just saw it as a click of the fingers and United are where they used to be and where City are now. Could be right and more importantly I think the Glazers preferred the minority deal which gave them a big profit and still retain majority controlGiven how much the Glazers wanted, I doubt anyone would've actually paid that much for an outright sale.
Definitely! Especially after so many cry (correctly) over how unfair City are and how they've gotten away with so much, but essentially want exactly the same just to cheat a few trophies.Manchester United shouldn't be state owned.

The article does give that impression but there is a very clear route to making what actually is a formal complaint about SEC filings. You would complete a TCR referral form and submit it directly to the exchange. They've been going on about a corrective filing since January - "just do it" is the simple response. Don't just feed messages through The Athletic or Sky Sports News presenters to demonstrate how serious you are. The rest is just lawyers being a little performative. It only becomes formal if they initiate any action, until then it's just the same as if you or I wrote them a strongly worded letter. The article suggests formal complaints have been sent to United's lawyers
This is my point! Can't win can they
