A bit sick how Madrid-city ended 3-3 with all the "big chances" missed and both teams with less than 1,0 goals in xG
Shows that it were a lot of great shots from difficult positions, not clear cut chances as such.

Get your shit together. I want „our“ semi final.
Alas, very unlikely. They are too strong, no shame in that.

Ironically I think Arsenal are best equipped to deal with them. Pep teams don’t suit us at all.

I disagree. They didn't create anything today and basically scored 3 wonder goals. You have more than enough pace to punish them on the break, I thought you were quite unlucky today.

Apparently Bayern had a strong claim for a penalty.

While we were sloppy on the counters, the flow of the game wasn’t out of the ordinary between Pep and Carlo. Especially the second half. Think they’ll go full throttle like last season and we aren’t able to beat the press.

We’d need a brilliant showing from everyone. I just can’t see it. Or we go Klopp style and try to press the hell out of them but that won’t happen.

In real time I thought no penalty. But then after looking at replays it seems like it could have been given as Neuers right leg was still moving it didn't stop like many suggest. But no way VAR overturns that.
If you are trying to buy a penalty when you stick your leg out keep it low. Makes it more believable. While changing directions no one naturally takes the knee/leg so high.

This is the scene i referred to.
Apparently the ref said thats a "Kids mistake" and he cant give a penalty for that in a CL QF.

What kind of bullshit explanation is that??

Neuer's leg was moving forward and you can see Saka dangling a leg but I couldn't really tell if it was a pen or not from the replays as I never saw it full speed.

Think you need to be more wary of taking shots outside the box, happened last season too. You can't let Foden/Rodri/Kdb shoot with that much space.

I would be pretty annoyed if that was called a pen against us...glad it wasn't given. I actually think he could have maybe made it around Neuer.

If that was given that would've been the most Arsenal way to lose a game.
I'd rather they tonked us 1-5 again than concede that penalty  Wtf is Gabriel doing...

That is insane. That is genuinely infuriating that it's not given as a pen, it's the most basic application of the rules you'll ever see on a pitch. You can't just decide to ignore the rules cos the players are morons.

If he really said it, a bizarre one.

It's a kids mistake, so you let kids off when they make it. Not highly paid professionals.

I get the explanation about the ref influencing the match by whistling during the execution of the goal kick since it probably confused the players

Ref whistled before Raya kicked the ball

Yes and as he doesn't have to whistle in that situation to allow Raya to kick the ball it could easily be misinterpreted as him whistling to stop the play again. Which wasn't his intention, but could be understood in that way. Still a very stupid situation.
