Spain XI analyzing : Why i think Spain XI are more complete and have a higher chance to win Euro 24 than England XI?

After taking a look at Spain squad and analyze it a bit. I got a thought that Spain XI on paper is more complete, more balance and have higher chance to win Euro 2024 than England. And why?

Here are some of main and biggest reasons and factors why i think and believe Spain has higher chance to win than Euro 2024 than England:

1. Spain XI on paper is more complete than England
2. Spain 3 cm trio in Ruiz/Olmo - Rodri - Pedri are up there with the best nation in Europe
3. Spain defend and back line is more solid and more complete


Further analyzing of each points :

1. Spain XI on paper is more complete than England :

Spain potential line up and XI :

Simon + Carvajal - Normand - Laporte - Cucurella + Yamal - Ruiz/Olmo - Rodri - Pedri - Williams + Morata

This XI is really balance and more complete than England potential line up :

Pickford + Walker - Stones - Guehi/Dunk - Gomez/Trippier + Saka - Foden/Gallagher - Rice - Bellingham - Gordon/Foden + Kane

Then with those 2 line up comparison. It will lead to the 3 main factor. Which was mention above :

3. Spain defend and back line is more solid and more complete

Spain potential back 4 and defend line :

Carvajal - Normand - Laporte - Cucurella > Walker - Stones - Guehi/Dunk - Gomez/Trippier.

For me. Spain defend and back line is more complete and stronger than England. Not totally complete, but still stronger and more solid than England. And to win the Euro 24. I think that team shall have and it require a really strong defend. Solid and hard to break.
I think England defend and back line can cost England the Euro 24 glory.
England CBs partnership and backline haven't play really much. And players need time and matches to gel together and work together really well.
Most of peoples who are following football. It's knowing that England do not have a really strong and top defend and back line. A big big reason why i think Spain have a bigger chance to win Euro 24 than England.


2. Spain 3 cm trio in Ruiz/Olmo - Rodri - Pedri are up there with the best nation in Europe. Really. If this trio. Not only with those 3. If pacey and skill ful wingers like Yamal and Nico Williams. Get the max out of theirs potential. This CM trio and 5 midfield combination are up there with the best nation in Europe = France, Portugal and England.

Let us take a look of those 3 biggest favorite midfield compare to Spain midfield :

France potential midfield, 451 : Muani/Dembele - Camavinga/Kante/Rabiot - Tchouameni - Griezmann - Mbappe

England pontential midfield, 451: Saka - Foden/Gallagher - Rice - Bellingham - Gordon/Foden

Portugal potential midfield, 451 : Silva - Bruno - J.Neves/R.Neves - Palhinha - Vitinha - Jota/Felix

So for me. On paper of course. Analyzing before the matches. Spain midfield trio & 5 are not far from those 3 big nations top level. Those 3 nations midfield are more experience and have play together over a long period.
But again, if Spain cm trio and midfield get the max out of theirs potential. They will be really good both way.

Spain midfield with Yamal - Olmo/Ruiz - Rodri - Pedri - Williams will deliver consistent and top service for their main man in Morata.
And Morata looks like he has found a higher level of his max potential. Morata looks sharp and is scoring more regular for Spain. With a midfield and players like that behind him. Morata will get consistent top chances and service.
And the potential of Yamal is just huge. Yamal looked really dangerous and in form for Spain in theirs last match. Yamal has big potential to do a really well tournament for Spain.
Spain other wonderkid in Pedri, after a period of suffering burn out and fall back in form. Slowly i think Pedri has rise his level again. And if Pedri can reach his top level again. Spain will have more offensive and creative strings to play on. Reasons why i think Spain can do really well in this tournament.


+ Sum up. Can Spain win Euro 2024? For me. On paper and have potential to win Euro 2024. Like the topic of this thread.

Spain will not be big favorite to win.

For me France and maybe Portugal are the two biggest favorite. France XI and squad are stronger thand Portugal. But it is just on paper. Match day form and the presence form is really important.

The for me. We have a group of nation behind those 2 teams : England, Spain, Germany, Italy

Then a group under the second group. Never say never : Netherland & Belgium

And the last group i will give a chance is : Kroatia & Denmark. For me, Kroatia have to many old players whom theirs peak was the World cup bronze medal. I think they have peak it : Modric, Kovavic, Perisic, Brozovic, Kramaric. All those 5 golden generation are over 30 +.
And Denmark collective playing are really good. But are lacking some top top big player. Players with some extra skill that can make big difference. Like Mbappe and Bellingham.



So that are mine analyzing of Spain XI line up, theirs chance and comparison to England XI.

Spain do not belong to the biggest favorite, due to bookmaker. Around 1/8 in odds. But for me. If theirs cm trio and midfield do get the max out of theis potential and lucky with fully fit XI and squad, suspensions can suprise and go really far this tournament.

There are some much creative, top speed, flair and skill with those 4 players : Yamal, Olmo, Pedri, Williams. They will be really enjoyable to watch. If they get the max out of theirs pontential. Morata will love to play ahead of them.

If they get trough the group stage in a hard and difficult group agains Italy, Kroatia and Albania. Then everything can happen in knock out stage.
But if you want to watch really good attacking football. Spain are one of the nation that will deliver really good attacking football.

In summary: I think Spain team is more complete on paper because I think the Spain team is more complete on paper.

Or alternative summary - England have a shit defence

Better XI than England. But Spain squad depth is clearly weaker than England.

And this euro 2024 has more matches. Spain XI + 13/14 need to stay full fit whole tournament.

But XI line up = good attacking garantue.

There are so much top speed, flair and skill with those boys.

Really hope Pedri has found his best form again. After a burn out period, when he play to much. With no rest.

From i think was 2 summer tournament. One for nation/or under + summer olympic team, no resting and straight to Barcelona season start. It was crazy. It just destroy the boy.

CM trio of Yamal - Olmo - Rodri - Pedri - Williams = I will be really happy, both on club and nation level. If i have players of those skill and abilities to choose from and work with. Theirs skill on the ball are just crazy.
Those boys are up there with Foden and Bellingham.


But in the end. France XI and squad are just crazy. But in knock out stage you never know.

Spain look equally uninspiring defensively as England to me. Le Normand and Laporte is hardly a CB partnership for the ages, Simon is an average GK

OT: I think England have the much better squad, but Southgate will set us up unbalanced and not get the best out of the talent we have.
 
It is completely unacceptable that that academy churned out Messi and now Yamal. Somebody needs to do something about it. Something drastic

Also yes, Spain are my dark horse to win this silly thing that reached its apex in 2021 and no longer amounts to anything anymore, everybody agrees, it's just a glorified audi cup really
 
Looks similar quality to England to me until you get the CF position, and then Kane makes the England team much stronger than Morata makes the Spain team.

The manager matters a lot though. Idk how good the Spain manager is.

Spain always seem such a horrible team to play against, especially with their midfield. Italy's midfield at the last Euros was phenomenal and yet Spain absolutely bossed them when they met in the semi final.

It feels like you are playing against 12 men when you play against Spain. Their ball retention is so good that you just end up chasing shadows.
