What do we think of his decision to tell the ref it wasn't a pen? I'm not a fan TBH especially as it wasn't even that clearcut in the end. Let the refs/VAR make that decision.

@Damien can we get a poll?

I think it's fantastic. More players should be like this.

The sort of heartwarming sportmanship I only want to see in games we're winning comfortably.

will make the +10 respect moments on a YouTube short

Well I guess there is that. I wonder if he would've been so forthcoming if we weren't one up and one man up.

He should be fined for it. His job is to help us win games, and his actions directly undermined that goal.
Just kidding obviously

Big performance from him tonight. More players like this please.

Only thing I’d add is even though I love this kind of honesty and we need more of it, the replay actually looked way less clear cut then even I had initially thought. Defender barely touched the ball - from what I saw

Absolute nonsense. This is like when VAR didnt exist, or wasnt a case of injury. Just shut up and walk away. Im all for fair play but there is simply no onus to do that when they have var.

He didn't want to be called diver, so it's more than fair.

He already butchered the opposition today so he gave them mercy

I'm completely against it, think it's a terrible decision and he should be fined for it.

I wouldn't mind so much against an honest team, but this Sociadad team were diving, playacting, crying, and completely lacking in the same sense of fair play.

fecking hate it, but thankfully wasn't decisive so no biggie.

I mean I applaud the honesty but in a tie where they’ve had some dodgy as feck pens it probably deserved being balanced out.

My main gripe with it is do you think any of the Sociedad players would've done the same if the roles were reversed?

It's great. I don't care about who would've done it otherwise or about the opponent. Fair play comes first and that just speaks to character. You don't change your morals depending on who is affected by the decision. Easy to make an ethical decision when it doesn't hurt you, harder when it could be important. He should be applauded and it kinda says something about you if you are against that

Dorgu knew we would win anyway, so he decided to go for some good PR. Clever guy.

Next time he dives when we actually need it, refs will believe him because now he looks like a Honest John. He's playing chess.

Great moment. Sad that it's so notable because of it's rarity, but we shouldn't dislike it when a player shows some honesty and integrity.

If also be interested to know how many of the posters criticising him for it were also slagging off the Sociedad players for going down easily and play acting.
