If Cherki is available at around £25m, that would be a solid buy. Cunha at £60 something million, not so much since we would still need to buy a striker.
Would a club like Lyon sell us a couple of baguettes for 25m, let alone cherki? I don’t see them selling us anyone for that cheap, 40-50 is what they would ask from a club like us

I think it may be low because he's only 21 and isn't even a full international yet.
He also only has 1 year left on his contract and Lyon are in serious financial difficulties which could lead to forced relegation. Those two factors mean they are desperate for a transfer fee this summer rather than him walking free next year.

The upside is just too high and the fee too low for this to even matter. Cherki obviously isn't the finished article but you could be getting a player who has the talent to be one of the best players in the league for the price of a Dan James.
Not sure what his price is. Contrary to reports he does not have a release clause and the 20M price was a gentlemans agreement for the January window only. He is now being linked with Liverpool and Barca amongst others and the price has already risen to over 30M amidst reports that the club are hoping for a bidding war as it seems they are rather strapped for cash.
Cherki and Delap for a combined 60 million would be good business

I'm just being cynical. I know in theory that we are supposed to believe that Cherki will only cost £30m but because it's only a gentleman's agreement and not a release clause, I fear the worst. He's the player I'd want the most though for the 10 position. I think he's more talented than Cunha and a really exciting option.

What am I missing with this endless wankfest over this bang average player? People are talking about him like he is the second coming of christ, yet he did nothing over 210 mins against us, did nothing this week in France, but it's just endless excuses about how he really is good and none of these performances are a fair representation. His league numbers aren't even that impressive, and that's the French league, I could score in the French league.

Cherki, Delap and Cunha. It's a good mix of attacking options. Sell Mount, Anthony, Sancho and Rashford.
