Football gods are finally shining on us.
 
Objectively, this is a really fun final. Two teams who could randomly implode on any given day, with the loser having had an abysmal season.
 
All those spurs fans banging on about beating us three times this season… it’s going to come back to bite them in their stupid lilywhite arses.

Is this even a question? He’s obviously in our best XI, it’s not as if he’s been on the bench because someone has been keeping him out. Bar a setback, he starts for certain. I hope Dalot can recover, and I know I’m being optimistic, but I’d live Zirkzee to make the squad too. Hojlund is awful.
 
The team has a duty to United fans to bring them Champions League football and a duty to all other fans to keep Spurs trophyless.
 
They've carried a lot of luck against us recently so hopefully it levels out!

Just hope we start the game better than tonight. Need to avoid giving them unnecessary encouragement as there'll obviously be nerves on their side too

Final, sunny day in Bilbao, against the Spurs. Feck me, so jealous of the people who will have a chance to see it in person. Think we are winning this.
 
No excuses, we have to beat Spurs. Sure, they've had our number this season, but that means they'll play the exact same way that has worked for them. It's up to us to counter their play, fix our errors and use the experience we have of winning finals to get the job done.
 
Let's smash this nothing club. They've had it way too good against us for far too long, this is the time to put them in their place.
 
I do hope Dalot and De Ligt are back for this one if only for the squad options. If everyone is fit I’d go:

Maybe a bit too aggressive, and Ugarte should be in there and Bruno further forward, but I’d like to see us carry a threat with both Garnacho and Amad.
 
My best mate is a Spurs fan. Not sure I could take the shit I’d get if we let them win a trophy. Would never live it down.
 
We've had a much tougher route to the final.

Sociedad, Lyon, Bilbao vs AZ Alkmaar, Frankfurt, Bodo.
 
Not sure what team we will start with... So many options all of a sudden. Garnacho benched, maybe Ugarte too.

Bruno has to play as a midfield orchestrator as we have zero creativity otherwise and Bruno plays better in Amorim's system when having the whole game in front of him, Ugarte also plays better when allowed to just win the ball and shield the defence and lay the ball off to Bruno.

If Mount builds on tonight then play Amad and Mount as the 10’s and you can bring Garnacho on late in the game as his pace against tired legs is invaluable, most importantly though do NOT play inverted wing backs on their weaker foot as we’re too easy to press and play against when we play that way.
