Television The Rehearsal (HBO, Nathan Fielder)

Such a unique and interesting show. I think the first season had more laugh out loud moments, where the second became a bit more contemplative. Favorite moment was probably when he put on Evanescence as Sully, or when that old lady talked about Einstein.

Insane finale. Might be one of the best seasons of a show I’ve seen. Nathan Fielder is a genius.

Absolutely bat shit finale and season in the best possible way.

The fact that they kept wings of the voice going throughout FFS

The winner did an AMA on reddit and they also found a thread on the AGT subreddit last year where contestants were asking each other about it

Feck sake

I wonder if they’ll ever release details about the flight itself. Surely it was played for comedic effect in the show and there’s no way hbo would have allowed it if they hadn’t deemed it to be fail safe.

I think having the co-pilot there was the only 'safety net' they had. If a pilot gets the plane into a spin or something there's very little anyone can do. He literally had the lives of 151 people in his hands.

I just can’t see how a mega corp like hbo would sanction that if it could go wrong  it would sink them. I’m sure they got independent people in to verify the plane was ok and stuff I guess.

Just watched it and I'm on board with this

It's amazing. Seriously insane and the way this guy's mind works is... amazing. The commitment, how it all pulls together, the conclusion, it's all inch perfect. Amazing few episodes of television, there's nothing quite like it anywhere else. Take a bow, Captain Fielder.

Just finished season 2, episode 2.

Well, I didn't, I actually had to turn it off when he was talking to the young girl singer at the end who was on the brink of tears.

Just saw that the winner of Wings of Voice performed the Evanescence song on Jimmy Kimmel (where Nathan appeared in full pilot uniform)

Just on episode three of season two. Insanity.

From choking on the breast milk of a 20ft puppet to masturbating in a plane with robot beside him in the space of 5 minutes.

The mental image of Captain Sully listening to Bring Me To Life right before performing the Miracle on the Hudson will never not make me laugh.

Just watched this the last couple of days. I recognised Aaron from a youtube channel i’ve been watching for a while. Can’t believe when the credits went up that Nathan’s been actually working for Nomadic airways the guys behind that channel.
