Bryan Mbeumo | Improved offer not actually placed yet (Ducker) | United confident they can close the deal

He crosses the ball more than any other player in the league. The team needs a good striker who can head the ball to make use of that.

Very positive news! Athletic notification caught me off guard, was convinced he was off to Newcastle.

Kinder Mbuemo, come home ma boy!

Saw a video from Howson the other day with his concern that his starting position tends to be pretty much that of a right winger coming inside, not the position he's expected to play with us.

Anyone who has seen him regularly think this is a problem?
Hasn’t been much of a problem with Amad doing it.

Mbeumo and Cunha, that is some refresh of the front line. I genuinely didn't expect such competency.

Would be an exceptional signing and proven in our league so no adaptation period needed. Already spending the Bruno money perhaps?!

If we pull this off, our whole attack looks entirely different. First time in a good while where the oppo have multiple threats to worry about: Cunha-Mbeumo and Amad flanking. Please get a striker to go with!

To be fair, he probably won't need to play that position in a few months

Add in Osimhen and we would have the perfect attack. Pace, creativity, great crosser, a poacher and striker with great heading ability! I agree though- essential we sign a striker good aerially (links to Mitrovic today make sense)

His numbers last season were quite good, but for some reason it doesnt get me excited. Maybe its Amad in the squad or I might not be into bald guys.

This would be a brilliant signing. When we played Brenford, he was the one player I constantly worried about. He's fast, strong, a good finisher and PL experienced. I think him next to Cunha would be fantastic and will open up things so much more for the wings and for whomever ends up being the 9. You have 35-40 goals coming out of the 10s forces teams to defend tighter through the middle. Right now, defenses know no one we put out there is really a goal threat so they can just sit in the passing lanes.

Still need a striker as an absolute must but this is fantastic news providing we can agree a fee

If we get him next to Cunha, it would be fecking criminal to not get a proper striker for them to play with.

I think I’d go goalie first.

Hojlund with good service might score. Onana seems like he could play behind the great AC Milan defence and concede a howler a game
Højlund just played the season behind one of the most creative players the premier league has ever seen and never got on the end of anything.

He’s had his chance and proven to be the worst striker at least since I’ve been watching United.

Ship him out.

Cunha taking corners from the left and Mbuemo from the right! We might actually score a few set piece goals next year.

I'm not going to shit my pants yet because two absolute plebs from the Devils in the Detail podcast think he's not a great fit; I mean, forgive my skepticism here, but why is it that we should pay any attention to these amateur hour podcasters?

If out scouting team, including Berrada, Wilcox, and Amorim all think he's a good fit, then why should anyone care whether two numbskulls who've probably been watching too much Metafootball or Tifo on Youtube think?
