Carrick not even good enough to make the England 30 man squad again. Dropped by Capello along with Nickey Shorey.
Why are you posting about Carrick on this thread? Unless you've got a problem with him of course.

Anyway, I think you'll find that, unless injured, he'll be securing the midfield again in the big games - Liverpool on Sunday, don't want him or Scholes tired for that.

As for England, who cares?

Dropped by SAF for the last 3 games in a row with a view to be a bit part player in some selective games. He has become the Fletcher of previous seasons

The hits just keep coming.

Don't mind him. He's mental. Just like the Chief. He just hides it slightly better.

feck Ingerland, we all know Carrick is the second-best midfielder in our squad. It's Capello's loss that our best midfielder doesn't want to play for him and he's blind to Carrick's qualities.

Excellent news he's gonna get a rest next week.

The problem with this thread is those who are defending hargreaves are trying to prove that carrick is shit and those who are defending Carrick are undermining every good performance of Hargreaves. Haters like IK supporting() hargreaves doesn't help the cause either.

Why can't we agree that Carrick can play more than Square balls and long balls and Hargreaves is very good in the holding midfield role? That is not only a fact, but the best possible solution for this pointless discussion.
Carrick >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Hargreaves in terms of passing
Hargreaves >>>>>>>>>>>>> Carrick in the DM role.

Common sense like that doesn't belong in a thread like this. What the hell do you think you're doing?

No he's not. But he has attributes in this role that Carrick doesn't. He's quicker than Carrick and more aggressive. Besides, we can't expect Carrick to play every game, all season long. He played too much football last season and faded horribly at the end. If nothing else, Hargreaves' signing will give us a fresh and hungry Carrick for the run-in.

And we always pay over the odds. We are Manchester United.

Who would you prefer in majority of games?

Who adds more value to overall team play?

Has Hargreaves lived upto your expectations?

A poor version of Gattuso and another 18 million on an even poorer version of Pirlo.

Spurs would be laughing after looking at the progress Huddlestone has made under Ramos this season. As a deep lying playmaker, he actually creates goals (7 assists) and even scores (3 goals) and doesn't just play long balls all day long so that one in a million can result in a goal (Carrick - 1 assist)

Well its kind of hard for Carrick to create chances from the bench, and to be fair Spurs have the advantage of having strikers who know how to put the ball in the net

Thats bollocks. Did you watch the Arsenal game or the Pool game? Hargreaves was fecking awesome. All his good work was lost in the Anderson wankfest. Some say Anderson had Fabregas and Gerrard in his pocket, but in realty, it was Hargreaves(and fletcher in the F.A Cup) who did all the dirty work. Anderson would not be that effective in big games without a defensive midfielder like Hargreaves or Fletcher beside him.

1. Carrick
2. Depends on the game
3. No, but injuries played a big part. He was awesome during the first month and was great against arsenal and liverpool.

If I believe what? What you said? I've proven it twice. It's there in black and white.
No you haven't. If you did you would attributing your own bullshit to me. I haven't said any where the keeper and his defence defend alone. I just said the responsibility of stopping goals lies solely with them. Which is a blatantly obvious fact and isnt' even debatable. Which you keep calling nonsense. Meaning you believe striker and midfielders have the responsible for stopping goals. Not defenders.

I'll ask you a question. Is there any team in the world who leaves defending to the defenders alone.
Who, apart from you, claimed teams do that?

You didn't say it was the defence's only job, you said that no other player was responsible for helping to stop goals, which is complete nonsense.
What is complete nonsense is you attributing that shit to me. Even when I've clearly pointed out how it wasn't what I said. But I'm beginning to think you are the type who would start a fight in an empty room. Launching a point of dispute where one never existed

Carrick is being proclaimed as this great passer and deep lying playmaker. Yet he has the same number of assists as Hargreaves - 1. Same number of goals as Hargreaves - 1. Lesser shots on goal/game and lesser crosses/game than Hargreaves. Yet he is better offensively because he can hoof the ball long ?

Deep lying play makers actually do more than just keep playing long balls and hope one will come good.

Carrick often isn't the final pass, as the stats show.

Passes that have created attacks:

Carrick: 26
Hargreaves: 6

And by your reckoning, Scholes was shit last season as he only had 1 assist and Ronaldo also this season, as he only has 2 assists ?

He doesn't rate Scholes. Further proof of his madness, if any was needed.

I suspect Chief Defamation Two Teams would be too embarrassed to find them for you.

As you can see, I'm taking the piss out of the Jews in it, right-wing nutcase that I am.
You are taking the piss out of what happened to the Jews. That's why you are classless enough to call people Hitler for supporting Hargreaves. You racist

I would put good money on Carrick being involved in nearly everyone of our goals that we have scored while he's been on the pitch.
