Obviously if I had the money Id want to buy United. But putting that aside - maybe looking at a foreign country, I think it would be far more satisfying buying a smaller club and building it up. There is more work to do, and therefore it gives you that bit more control. It allows you to build something in your own image, rather than arriving and saying, "OK, as you were, we are already the biggest club in the world so I dont have anything to do, just come and see me when you need some money."
That way, when (IF) City win the league, these guys can say to themselves that it was them that made it happen. Rather than if they had bought us, and they would have to say it may well have happened anyway.
That is the whole point of a hobby. You dont go out and buy a folder with a thousand stamps in it and then pat yourself on the back for having such a great collection. You build it up from the ground. The more work you put in to it, the more satisfaction you get from it.
Plus you'd be seen as a cult figure and have fans singing your name - as they invariably will at City - rather than having fans vandalising their limos and demanding the feck off out of the club, as they probably would have if they had taken us over.
