2009 FIFA Confederations Cup

Awfuk defending there from Capdevila, made it far too easy for Altidore.

Don't rate Capdevila at all.

Altidore seem alright but he's very raw, very indecisive.

Yeah, I would like to see him play more for his club. He did not play much at all. Supposedly is going to go to Fulham on loan. Makes sense as Fulham only has 1 American at the moment.

Heh.

I can see him doing well in this league, he's definitely got the physicality for it.

Maybe this will mean Brian Ching won't be starting up top by himself anymore for the US.

You know that's what I was thinking. No matter if we win, lose or draw this match Braley should really be learning something here. I'm the frst to say he should be fired but he's made a couple decent decisions the last couple matches. First off the 4-4-2 is working. Slow imobile forwards like Ching are great in stuational matches but not all the time.

He'll be the best midfielder in Europe once he moves to Barcelona.

You mean in a few years time when Xavi is past it? He'll probably shine a lot better when he is around better players as well and not burdened with the captaincy at such a young age.

Still wouldn't be surprised if Iniesta is deemed better though.

Why are the US coaching staff wearing winterhats and one player is even wearing gloves, is it really that cold there?

Spain just can't score, but seems like matter of minutes, unless the US fix those defensive mistakes and stop fecking up their counter attacks.

Yep, once Xavi's on the wane I think Fabregas will take over from him and step it up.

For my money he's a more threatening creative passer, and playing in a midfield three always makes things easier for midfielders - especially ones like Fabregas who don't relish the defensive work - and he'll love having that much top class attacking talent ahead of him.

Fabregas would have to step it up if he's ever to have a year like Xavi just had - 35 assists.

Sergio Ramos is a spastic.

He's always too casual on the ball, no matter whereabouts on the pitch he is.
