From Brazil.
A win for any of them will be uplifting considering the kind of results and performance they are going into the match with. A loss for both sides will be ideal...
Now how can we make this possible.

Draw - Chelsea - Liverpool in that order.

Draw means more points dropped around us and we can open the gap, Chelsea because would rather they win the league than those scousers and 3 defeats early in the season would be hard for them to come back from.

More importantly these two playing each other just means even more vital we take 3 pts at the weekend

Chelsea>Draw>Liverpool

Be a bit surprised if anyone would feel any different tbh, it's Liverpool after all.
A Draw would be the best result for us.

Why would you want Chelsea to win when they are our main rivals for the title?

Nope. It's Liverpool after all.
Imagine:

We're in battle with Chelsea for the title, the same number of points after 35 matches (they have better GD), Liverpool out of the race.

Is it still Chelsea > Draw > Liverpool?

It's Liverpool after all.

Draw with Essien "doing" Torres sparking a mass brawl. Gerrard takes justice into his own hands and take out Drogba. This sparks a pitch invasion. Free for all. Players having a go at each other. 3 points docked off both teams for hooliganism.

Imagine:

Liverpool win the league.

Now hold that thought.

Now hold it a bit longer.

There.

Horrific, isn't it?

Still want them to get a point out of the game against Chelsea?

The answer to your question, by the way, is yes. It hasn't changed since you last asked it, a few posts back.

And I'm all out of bubblegum.
Most of all I'd like a draw, but I'd definitely take a Chelsea win over a Liverpool win. I think Chelsea are a bigger challenger for the title this year, but I can't wish for a Liverpool win under any circumstances.

Fair enough.

I think it's an age thing. I don;t think you were even born in the 80s? I'm still mentally scarred by watching those cnuts win trophy after trophy after trophy...
I wasn't even in my parents' plans in 80s.

That's why I can uderstand what do you think about them, that's why I won't try to convince you.

Liverpool to be leading 4-0, then pulled back to 4-4. They'll be gutted, and Chelsea don't get the 3 points. Hurrah

However, if you are sure that Liverpool won't win like I am, you'd want Chelsea to drop points.

Don't want Liverpool and its deluded fans to win anything ever - its always ManUtd first and then any team that plays Liverpool.

I want the Liverpool fans to go to sleep crying on Sunday night.

The heart says anything but a Liverpool win, the head says Liverpool win.
I`ll follow my heart on this one.

Draw or Chelsea win.

Got a sneaky feeling Liverpool will do well in this one. Hope not.

Nil all. If I had to chose one of the other, I'd nearly prefer Liverpool. Chelsea are the better side and will be our biggest challengers for the title. Liverpool will feck it up as they always do.

With you there Pogue, probably is an age thing, the sooner the 'it's our year' is over for another year the better as far as I'm concerned. We'll deal with Chelsea later. (or rather SAF will).

I left you with enough memories to resurrect me wi
In an ideal world I would prefer Chelsea to give Liverool a good ol' top4ing, however they are probally our main rivals for the title so that would not be great for us overall.

It reminds me of reading somewhere that 50% of Barca fans prefer Madrid to lose than Barca to win if I remember clearly, but I'm all about United benefiting than Liverpool losing. Fiorentina already gave them a good ol' CLing, which has left me satisfied.

If Liverpool win however, they could easily become our main rivals.

It would mean Chelsea going through a rough patch of losing two in a row and Liverpool going through quite a winning streak,(in the prem) building up confidence which is not what I would prefer.

Overall a draw suits me.

Yep. Draw would be okay, but the highlighted bit...

Got those scars from the '70's and '80's.

Chelsea win means Liverpool have lost to Villa, Spurs, Fiorentina and Chelsea. This would be every decent side they have played so far this season, which means they were never a real threat so I should have been hoping for a scouse win.(well I just can't do that ever but you see where I'm going)

Liverpool win puts them back in the race, has their tails up and maybe beating Chelsea means they are quite good and I should have been hoping for a Chelsea win.

Draw is best but not definitive and possibly both are strong enough to mount a challenge.

OK feck it go I will go with the gut instinct and hope Chelsea get something.

But feck that. 0-0 draw please.
I'd prefer a 4-4 draw, with Liverpool's back line repeatedly torn to shreds. They have a very tough month ahead of them, last thing they need is to discover some defensive solidity.

Maybe some set piece goals. Zonal marking anyone?

Hope Chelsea batter them. I think we'll come on top of both of them, don't really care about Chelsea winning this game. Just made Drogba my Fantasy Team captain as well.

So Liverpool are probably going to win, and break both his legs in the first minute or something :(

cheslea 10-0 will do nicely, gerrard and torres sent off for fighting each other and benitez to explode on the side line

I want Chelsea to win, simply because the chances of Spurs finishing above Liverpool are greater IMO than our chances of finishing above Chelsea.
