What do you Caftards think about him as a possible "replacement" for Ronaldo? The first time I saw him was at Euro 2008 and he was great...fast, good ball control, good shot...He currently plays for Galatasaray and I don't think he would cost more than Valencia. So...opinions?

I think he is overrated personally.
Really? Have you watched him lately? I'm really asking you cause I haven't so...Why do you think he's overrated?
A couple of times arround Feb and March, not that much really, but from I had heard he looked to me as a decent winger, maybe a bit above average. But I think he is doing good in the turkish league, but i don't think he could manage it in the big stage, I might be wrong though.
Looked like an outstanding prospect at the Euros, haven't seen him since. But his stats this season are pretty good.

I watch the Turkcell superlig time to time and he certainly is a decent prospect. He's probably on his way to Spurs or Arsenal though, oh and hes a Liverpool fan.
Good player, but I suspect he'll be choosing between the likes of Spurs and the Turkish League (where I'd imagine he's one of their better players).

No for me. Lately he's been crap for our national side, mind you, the fact that he hasn't played much at Schalke because of feud with manager is something that has to do with it, but still, I don't think he's United class...he is decent at everything but isn't great at anything...

There has been a decent amount of good, Turkish players the last decade. Their 2002 WC team had a couple of good players ; Baştürk, Şükür, Nihat etc.

He wouldn't really, although I'm not convinced this 3-4-1-2 will end up being our primary system.

I would say so.. Nani looks set to leave so in a 4-3-3 wide options would be Young, Valencia, Januzai and Zaha.
I think Januzai will end up as a 10, Valencia as a winger well less said the better and Young is in form but will that last and a winger where there is more emphasis on attacker than his new wing back role. Zaha is unproven at this level.
Pretty sure either Turan or his agent said something about us being interested in him last summer too.
He has a buyout of €41 million (about £32mil) so if that was true we'd be valuing Kagawa at £16mil. I really like Kagawa & I'd like to see it work out here for him but I think Turan is the more effective player.
