Yeah, we truly are a Jekyll and Hyde team.

I think that nervousness came more from holding the lead though. In a 1 off match I think we will be better off, the silly away goals rule won't make us overly cautious.

The players definitely have a big performance in them, we saw that at home against Chelsea, it's just making sure Jose get's it out of them.

I have no doubts though Jose will make the team realise how important this game is, winning is the only option.
Spot on there, if Mourinho gets the team motivated and United can match the level of performance from the Chelsea game, that is the key.

Nerves are jangling today. Praying for a good performance & a win to suit!

I'm confident. I don't think Jose would let us lose a final, as silly as it may sound.

I really thought we would win the return against Barcelona at Wembley

The way they tore us apart hurt
The Rome final was a killer cause I thought we were better than them.
I knew we would lose the Wembley final. They were such heavy favourites and the gap in quality was night and day.

Apparently Bertrand traore(right forward of ajax) and Onana(first choice keeper) Of ajax are down with flu.

United should need no extra motivation but given the events in Manchester I'm sure they will leave absolutely everything on the pitch and bring a smile back to the city.

Go on United. Bring it home!

Do we think these "United prepared to listen to offers for Smalling" reports are just Jose's way of trying to motivate him?

I reckon he starts ahead of Jones tonight.

I'm feeling confident for tonight. Jose's had 3 weeks to plan this one, he'll surely get it right.

When the whistle blows, the game is out of his hands. One mistimed tackle and it could go tits up.

I heard it was concussion with the keeper? Was found wandering around Stockholm in the early hours saying "Onana, what's my name?'

.... I'll close the door on the way out.

It's confusing. On the one hand, we need someone who can deal with headers since Blind is weak at them. On the other hand, Smalling is terrible against teams that press and will keep giving away the ball. IMO, we should go with Jones but I feel Jose will play Smalling ahead of him. I won't be surprised if both Jones and Smalling start as well.

It's actually great to see United in a European final again, it's been some years since our last one. I kind of miss the nervs that big matches like this bring, but today it will come back for sure. Can't wait for the match to start. Let's hope for a great final guys that we end up winning!

I'm fecking buzzing for this, but I'm nervy as feck...

Even my Liverpool supporting mate sent a message this morning saying he wants us to win (and he never wants us to win anything) and is even coming to the pub with a group of us to cheer us on...

Could very well be, although I don't think the club would decline a good offer

I am struggling to decide what the CB partnership will be tonight, Mourinho I think would only generally tend to stick Blind in there as a last available option, but he also seems a bit down on Smalling so I am guessing Jones and Blind to start night, but it really could be any 2 from 3.
I hope the midfield is Carrick, Herrera and Pogba and he leaves Fellaini on the bench, but again, who knows.

I know in light of recent events a football match might seem insignificant, but in times like this, every little thing could possibly mean a lot. For that alone, I'll be rooting for United for the first time in my life tomorrow night. For Manchester, I hope you pull it off.

    Best of luck.
    Thanks. Lovely sentiment.

That would be a spectacular gamble. Smalling is a bag of nerves on the ball anyway. Putting him in the starting eleven of a European Cup final which could essentially be a last chance audition to prove himself... not worth the risk.

I'm taking a 2 hour flight to Napoli at 7.40 pm. Awesome.
This happened to me when we lost to Barcelona 3-1 at Wembley. As soon as I landed I received a goal alert that Rooney had scored. I thought we'd won...

Agreed, but Corporal "don't panic ! don't panic !" Jones can have his moments as well. I am guessing Jones and Blind tonight, but not sure. Maybe Jose will spring a surprise and play all 3, but I doubt that.

I just realized that if we win the EL, we could go on and face RM/Juve at the Super Cup. What a tantalizing prospect that would be.

Buzzing for this in work and getting an early finish, cannot wait. Think it will be a tight and edgy game but we can do it. Come on boys bring the trophy home not just for United, but for Manchester.

Interesting, the bookies aren't expecting a lot of goals tonight. 1.66 odds on 2 goals or less.

What did you dream about last night? And what do you think it portends for the final? Please share below and don't skimp on details. Because people love hearing about other people's dreams in great detail. Last night , I dreamed about an old friend walking down a road which I think was out of a film. Think it means we're on the right path. Then again, it's a recurring dream and I've had it on nights when we've lost, won and drawn the game the next day. Not very helpful, I know. Nervous.

TBH I would love to see him dressed in our kit. However, I think he is talking too much to the press and this can really upset his actual club (At. Madrid) and he could be in trouble if finally stays in Madrid.

However, I hope Atletico won't have to face the ban, we'll win tonight and we'll be able to sign him, cause he would be a really good sign for us and finally we would be able to compete for everything.

Fingers crossed. But first... Let's win tonight!!
