Awful first 30 mins, got a bit better towards the end but still need to improve in the second half if we are going to get 3 points out of this fixture.

well...apparently we are shit, the ref is shit but it's still 0-0 to a direct competitor in their house.... Stay positive! We can win this based on the last 20 or so minutes.

I think the first 20 minutes made it painfully obvious that our players are just not calm enough on the ball. You can't blame a young defender Blacket, but Fellaini, Carrick or DeGea? We weren't able to string together a few passes and get into the game. Fortunately Arsenal has dropped off and it's still 0-0...

Yeah amateur. Not even the master goes for the head. Then the master is from South America and knows only Jaguars can crush skulls.

At least we made it to half time 0-0. Maybe change of formation now to confuse them??

Herrera for Carrick not because Carrick's been bad but Herrera offers far more going forward. Absolute dog shite terrible opening 30 minutes from United though.

Calling it now, 2-0 United at the end.

Also, the main highlight of the first half was watching Wilshere square up to Fellaini. Funniest thing I've seen in a while

Can't complain with the scoreline. Arsenal have to attack, their back line isn't exactly inspiring either and playing at home it is understandable that they are on top. Hopefully Van Gaal can see how high they are pressing and set up to punish them in the second half.

    Smash n grab.

Furious with LVG right now. Thought he'd learnt his lesson early in the year that 3 at the back will never work in the prem.

This is absolutely suicidal football we are playing right now. Everytime they come forwards we are split apart too easily. Had it not been for DDG we would be down two goals.

The "extra" man in midfield has also done feck all for our possession or control of the game. The whole team looks so disjointed and unsure yet again.

LVG should know better than to throw two teenagers into a back 3 and expect them to play well against the likes of sanchez. Its fecking madness.

Mata on for RVP hopefully and Di Maria a little deeper.

Really feel like it's only a matter of time before we concede

Decent last 15 minutes, awful start to the game. De Gea our saviour, Di maria has been dangerous when he got the ball too. Blackett isn't premier league standar, let alone united. McNair been better but still shaky.

Fellaini has been meh, but got better. Rvp anonymous. Valencia useless. Need a huge improvement in the second half, hopefully Herrera comes on.

Park the bus, kill them on the counter. Pay special attention to Alexis and Welbeck.

    -------------------------DDG-------------------------------
    -------McNair---------Smalling---------Blackett---------
    Valencia-------Carrick--------Herrera------------Young
    ----------------------Fellaini------------------------------
    ----------------Rooney--------RVP------------------------

its a horrible team, but we have to be realists. We are not gonna control the game. They have better players to get the ball moving around and they know we are fecked with injuries so they will go all out.

its imperative we go 0-0 to the HT.
Arsenal will drop their performance for the first 30 minutes of the second half, and thats when we have to make them pay. RVP will have his chances, so he better take them.

The last 20 minutes of the game, hold the fort.

Its up to Arsenal to do their part now.

    this is on.

We're an absolute mess of a team.

£150 million spent and our only tactic is to hoof it to Fellaini. Oh Moyes would be so proud of this.

Granted we did start to look better in the last 15 minutes. But if we're going to score a goal: Rvp HAS, TO, GO.

WOW we have been absolutely pounded. Is DDG human? Thing to note here is that the front three are playing exactly like the Dutch front 3 in the world cup. Di Maria is playing the Robben role, and rightly so, RVP is RVP and Rooney is playing the Sneijder role with slightly more workrate. We can get a break if our defence aka DDG keeps it up for another 20 minutes in the 2nd half.

This is painful to watch from us. If we don't get De Gea signed up asap I'll be fuming.

Blackett is just way too casual at the back. He seems to underestimate the speed of their players pressing him, after the first time you should wise up

Age. Nothing unusual but still shame to see such a brilliant player on the decline.
It's not like age should reduce him from great or at least very good to rubbish in a mere 5 mounths, though. He looks completely out of it.

Who would your back 4 be? serious question. The only reason we're using a 3-5-2 is because our fullbacks are all injured. It'd be even worse in a 4 man defence then this.

LVG has to change something - the most obvious thing being RVP for Herrera. If he doesn't then I'll be extremely frustrated with him and start to believe that he has his favourites who he just won't drop.

Thank feck for Big Dave and that it's half time. How did we survive that? At least we got a little better towards the end.

Bloody disgraceful too how our so called "world class" attack consists of us lumping it to Fellaini for him to chest down and then pass to the wings.

Its sad how that seems to be our only plausible approach to attacking against a gooner side that isn't even known for defending particularly well.
