Wasn't there a table mapped out on Lawrenson's game predictions one season and by the end of the season he had Liverpool on maximum points with Everton relegated.
It’s fun nothing more.why people still take him seriously I’ll never know.

I don’t think he had Everton relegated but he had Liverpool as champions for about 10 straight years back when they weren’t that good.

    The negativity in here ffs

We're far better than they are and with today's result giving us a timely jolt I expect a straight forward win

    3-0
Agreed, though I'm not quite that optimistic about the score. Arsenal 1-2 MUFC.

    DeGea
    AWB - Bailly - Maguire - Shaw
    McTominay - Fred
    Rashford - Bruno - Pogba
    Cavani

Social media gooners will be unbearable if Arsenal win. They still seem to think it’s the 2000s and we’re the evil empire. I guess it just gives them warm fuzzy feelings because it was when they were last legitimately good. I don’t think most Utd fans give two shits about Arsenal anymore, and I was someone who was there for all of it.

I’m looking forward to it. After the defeat, this will prove where our title challenge truly lies. Win, and it’s a great show of mentality and will springboard our next few (tough) games. Lose and we know that we still aren’t ready and just had a good run do form like we have done previously under Ole.
What if its a draw? Would you take it? I don't see it being a draw tbh. Utd need the win as you're going for the title, and we need the win to make up for our pathetic first half of the season. Draw helps no one.

Interesting perspective, from the media narrative we were on the traditional side and they, brought a lot of non-English talents - particularly French players to the league.

I wish we could learn how to control the midfield possession wise and the only way I can see that happening is if we play VDB

Arteta is going to go 5 3 2 again isn't he? Same as Old Trafford. No way he's going to play 4 defenders and push up. He's too afraid to let Rashford n co have room to run into.

We really need to have a plan to beat this low block. We've dropped most of our PTS this season against teams who have done this.

Cavani is the only option against these teams. Martial isn't clever enough and doesn't work hard enough.
I think he might go 4231

We seem to always do badly against this bunch of dicks. The media always love it too. Expecting a loss tbh

You might be evil but less so since Fergie left. Not really an empire now - not sure you ever were. I’d say most Arsenal fans like me just want to see our team progress and challenge for the title in the next few years and CL football too. I’d say we are realistic about where we are now but seeing our youngsters coming through the academy and doing well is heartwarming. As for Man Utd, of course we want to win tomorrow same as if it were any other team, though of course there is much more history between us especially in the last 20 years or so. Man Utd is still despite recent mediocrity a scalp we would like to take and yes, we would enjoy it. But whatever rivalry there is whether in past years or now, it pales in comparison to that with Spurs aka The Dark Side. Be assured whatever the result tomorrow I’ll be back on line to face the music if we lose and to offer my observations if we don’t. Should we win, I don’t do gloating, it’s unseemly

I have more faith in us bouncing back in a big away game like this, than I would if it was a Burnley or West Ham at home that's for sure.

    Expecting a tight win.

This is a must win now. Lose and we're potentially 4th, behind City, Leicester and Liverpool. and Potentially 7 points behind city...

Actually, I’d dispute your assertion - the media love Man Utd - they hate Arsenal, so be it...

    Maguire.
    Shaw.
    McTominay.
    Fred.
    Rashford.
    Bruno.
    Pogba.
    Cavani.

Can't really see any other team than this, if Bailly Is fit in otherwise Lindelof.

We’ve got to stop concedeing cheap goals
To win or compete for the title we need the defence to start keeping clean sheets and the attack will always score
We have to learn to win games 1-0,City have sorted out their defence and stopped conceding.
    I’ll take a boring 1-0 win Tomorrow
Let’s play with passion and move the ball quickly
We were too slow and predictable against Sheffield Utd

Didn't Ole recently state that 99% effort equals 100% failure?
I wonder who his failures were against Sheff U and who will be against the Arse on Saturday? :houllier:

A month ago this would have been a slam dunk. Arse has had some success and the media have switched their hounding-out target from Arteta to other managers. Tougher game for us but we still win 3-2.

Need a solid defence tomorrow. No more bullshit defending.

    Tuanzebe and Telles out.
    Lindelöf and Shaw in.
In midfield Matic and Martial out.
Fred and McTom in alongside Pogba.
Front 3 of Bruno, Rashford and Cavani.

Could see James got a start ahead of McTom.

Martial and Greenwood sorry boys. There is no room for passengers.

    1-3 United

If we drop ANY points, I think the title race is over. City will have too much momentum and we will have lost too much on the other side.

A win would put us in a great position given we can't beat any of the "top" sides this year.
