I don't think the Fred - Pogba - Bruno midfield is one wee see enough to be honest, but when we have seen it, it's looked good. The game against Liverpool last week is a prime example of the fact that it can compete with the highest level of opposition, so I have no idea why we'd go back to McTominay and Fred now... Particularly with McTominay being in poor form this season.

Martial has to get dropped, and please can we not see Greenwood hooked at the hour mark regardless of performance? That'd be great!

    De Gea

    AWB
    Maguire
    Lindelof
    Shaw

    Fred
    Pogba
    Bruno

    Greenwood
    Cavani
    Rashford

I was slightly uncertain about this game before the Sheffield game. Now I'm feeling really quite concerned. We SHOULD still beat them but I can see us wobbling a bit, which is odd really because I thought the Liverpool game would be our springboard.

I sometimes think that we can let it go to our heads after good results, as per our champions league success against PSG / RBL and subsequent fluffing of our lines.

The issue for us watching was why he stayed in while Greenwood who was working his socks off, was taken off
Exactly. Seems Ole takes the easy option. If I had have been Greenwood I would have been asking Ole why I was subbed and not Martial.
He should start Rashford L Cavani and Greenwood R. Rashford isnt setting the world alight, but it would be James if not him.

Calling somebody a pussy is now taboo? I must've missed that memo. Jesus. Pathetic.
Calling our own player (also an unbelievable servant to the club) a "pussy boy" is certainly a taboo on here. In general though, if you're on a moderated forum, especially as a new member, it's always best to err on the side of caution.

Sorry, didn't realise that pathetic displays of gutlessness were to be accepted and worshipped but never criticised.
I guess we're now going down the RAWK path eh?
Unbelievable servant? It's not that long since he tried to scarper to Madrid.
In hindsight we should've let him.
Actually, just ignore me. I'm having a shitty day.

You could have just stated that and keep 'pussy boy' for Twitter.

For the record, he has received loads of criticism on here but spare the insults eh?

Then we might as well play the reserves. The whole team were sht
Yes, the whole team was shit but certain players showed worth ethic. Martial has been of form since July.

The display he put against SU was nothing short of disgraceful.

You can forgive a team for playing badly and losing but, you cannot forgive someone who does not try.

There is 4/5 clips on twitter where Martial is doing nothing. 2 times he lost possession of the ball and sulked, one of them was the goal.

Exactly right and yet he is being rewarded with a place in the squad minimum whilst Amad has to make do with the U23's tomorrow

No Martial please, he needs to learn he cannot serve up that level of perfomance.
Unlikely to happen. He is now a victim of racial abuse.
Dropping him will invite criticism from the media for deserting a victim in times of need.

Good PR trumps any performance levels.

I’m looking forward to it. After the defeat, this will prove where our title challenge truly lies. Win, and it’s a great show of mentality and will springboard our next few (tough) games. Lose and we know that we still aren’t ready and just had a good run do form like we have done previously under Ole.
    Bang on correct.
And I might even consider taking back my apology to Ole.

I love Martial, I commented last week that I fully expect him to score us 10 goals between now and end of the season.

However; having watched that game on Wednesday, I wouldn't even have him in the squad.

It really frustrates me when a player cannot be bothered to track back especially if you are the one losing the ball. There was one where he passed into Cavani which was intercepted and he stood still and Bruno had to run the length of the pitch to tackle, then there is the goal.

2 incidents where he sulked, if I watch the game back again and focus on him, I would find at least 10.

Yeah and that lack of tracking back should have been bloody punished by Ole, instead he will more than likely be rewarded with a start which is an absolute farce and spits in the face of people who work hard

I don't think he will because Ole has always harped on about fitness, he wants his team to run and he must have seen these clips of Martial.

If he does however; it will be a big red mark against Ole.

At least we'll get back our best back 4 . Tuanzebe and Telles for all their qualities really arent in sync with Maguire and AWB.

Starting to get abit worried with how many games AWB has played now though, he needs a rest soon.

Arsenal are in good form. To be honest, I don't really trust this team to suffer a couple of hits in a row. I'd very much like us to bounce back straight away - and I don't really care about how that happens: just gimme 3 points and then take it from there.

    Arsenal - Manchester United 0-1

    Fernandes (87, penalty)

    I'll take that.

Arteta is going to go 5 3 2 again isn't he? Same as Old Trafford. No way he's going to play 4 defenders and push up. He's too afraid to let Rashford n co have room to run into.

We really need to have a plan to beat this low block. We've dropped most of our PTS this season against teams who have done this.

Cavani is the only option against these teams. Martial isn't clever enough and doesn't work hard enough.

Yeah he truly is shirker central when it comes to workrate and should be nowhere near the starting XI
