Donny got a run out last night cause Bruno is suspended I’d say. Wouldn’t be surprised to see him Sunday as a 10. Got to rest Ronny. Rashford through the middle.

Can we install a Madame Toussaurds waxwork of Steven Gerrard to place on the sidelines?

It might fire the lads up a bit?

It would be amazing if someone could fire a misplaced pass into his groin … hard

Obviously it wouldn’t be the real one

As an aside maybe a good plan would be to try and win the game and not think about Steven Gerrard

I’d be absolutely shocked if Donny plays in the starting line up on Sunday. Maguire did more than Donny in attack.

The lineup seems back to being quite poor again without all the forwards fit, Bruno and Varane.

Having to play Elanga, Garnacho, Ronaldo, VdB and Lindelof or Maguire is not the one.

With Villa having the new manager bounce we'll do very well to get a win there.

We could be in for another shit show up front if this is the case. I can’t bear another Ronaldo performance.

Only other option would be Rashford with Garnacho? Maybe that's an option for EFL game if not.

Ronaldo wasn't at his absolute worst last game, while Garnacho was very good first half, but then Rashford didn't do much either.

No Ronaldo would be great but I'd doubt it'll be the case.

Imo as Bruno doesn't play we might switch to a 433. Eriksen doesn't have the legs to play as a #10 these days I think. Fred will probably play as the most advanced CM to make the most use of his pressing and energy. Garnarcho is breaking into the first team and scored last match so he might have a chance too. The rest pick themselves.

    DDG
    Dalot Lindelof Martinez Shaw
    Eriksen Casemiro Fred
    Rashford Ronaldo Garnacho

If Martial is available it'd be interesting to see if ETH has the balls to drop Ronaldo. If Antony is available he'll start instead of Garnacho as RW and Rashford moved to LW.

ETH has never had a problem with dropping Ronaldo

That was pre tantrum episode. It's yet to be seen if it's still the case post episode. Ronaldo has suspiciously not only started all games since his reintegration but has also not been subbed out despite mediocre performances. The excuse is that we have injuries so he gets to play all the time(though we also had injuries pre tantrum episode and he was getting dropped and subbed out), so let's see what happens when we have guys back.

The Aston Villa game will be an interesting one to watch just to see how Ten Hag handles Ronaldo with hopefully some of our injured attacking players back.

Anyone know any decent streams for this? Hate games that aren’t shown on anything.

When can we find out the travelling squad? I'm gambling with some injured United players on my fantasy line up and need to know their playing status before 1pm gmt.

Assuming all players who were out on Thursday remain unavailable:

    DDG

    Dalot
    Lindelof
    Martinez
    Shaw

    Casemiro
    Fred

    Elanga
    Eriksen
    Garnacho

    Rashford

It’s not an ideal team but I’m hoping Villa do come out to attack a bit given they are at home. If not, there’s a lot of responsibility on Eriksen to provide the guile to unlock them.

Any news on Antony, Sancho and martial?

Actually not even sure why I ask about martial anymore. Perm-crock is always injured

    Disaster.
He's probably basing this on Ten Hag post La Real game interview where he said he still has to wait for the medical team to clear them. It's still 50/50 at this stage.

Except he was completely dropped from the squad immediately after his tantrum.

It's clear Ten Hag is happy to drop Ronaldo and would probably prefer to have someone else. The problem is we don't have options right now so we're left with no choice but play Ronaldo.

Regardless of martial being fit, we should still play rashford on the left. He's quite good there and a constant goal that. Besides, the partnership with shaw could be immense

Casimiro and Fred is also quite a solid and reliable midfield pairing. Ronaldo to play up front again and I'm really hoping that at least one of Sancho or antony is fit again

Hoping we have some luck with injured players, but this is what I’d go with if possible.

    De Gea
    Dalot Lindelof Martinez Shaw
    Fred Casemiro
    Eriksen
    Antony Rashford Sancho

    Subs: Martial, Garnacho, Mctominay

Disappointing this ain’t on the tv. Seems like it’s been more of a problem in general the last few weeks.
Ye it doesn’t help them putting like 5 games on a Sunday instead of having more 3pm games like they use to. Now there doing less 3pm Saturday games and more Sunday games.

    I'm guessing.

    De Gea
    Dalot Lindelof Martinez Shaw
    Casemiro Fred
    Antony Ronaldo Rashford

If Antony is not fit it will probably be Elanga.

Thursday night games means 3 watchable clubs are guaranteed to be on Sunday. Now you can’t play Wednesday night to Saturday morning which means BT game choice is hampered but they still choose that same game, they just move it to Sunday instead of being played later on Saturday. It’s why there’s been gaps in the 12:30 time.
    Its a joke

Ronaldo is only playing because we are desperate with injuries. If everyone is fit, ETH would absolutely have Ronaldo sat on the bench.

What are the odds Ronaldo strops off again between now and when he actually leaves? Low if hes gone in January, high if we are stuck with him until summer. Like you say if the other lads are fit Ten Hag is keeping him on the bench.

If Martial, Antony and Sancho are out I would rather see Garnacho, Rashford and Elanga cos we look so much better when there is energy up front but it won`t happen, it will be Ronaldo up front with everyone trying to feed him. In the end getting the win is all that matters I suppose until our injured players are back. We were so much better to watch with pace up top though and just as likely to get the win.

Yeah not beat us at Villa Park in league since 1995
    Aye, I know.

Can still see thsm scumming a win with this manager and his scum bucket football.

Then again I am nearly always wrong on these, it's why I don't gamble.

This is all looking primed for dropped points here isn't it.

Fatigue setting in from all these Thursday games, Villa with a new manager bounce, horrendous injury issues in attack and Bruno suspended.

If we're being honest there's been enough poor performances that we're due a bad result. We're 9th in xPTS, I feel like we're a ticking time bomb if performance levels don't improve, we can't keep scraping results like this forever.

With our injuries I'd be delighted with a tight 1-0 win again. Don't think we will dominate.
