Whoever is man marking Messi needs to rub his balls when he’s stood next to him. Difficult for the ref/linesman to catch and it will anger Messi. Imagine some dude rubbing your balls constantly when you’re trying to kick ball. You’d be furious. Best tactic. Put Mctominay on it imo as he has big hands. Will throw him right off his game.
I have no idea why this made me laugh but

But Messi's balls would only reach McTominay's ankles. Difficult for Scott to reach. Mata might be able to do it.:smirk:

He tried to do everything on his own, which is a feature of his play, game in game out. He destroys countless moves for us through his brainless, selfishness on the ball.

I rate him highly and think he could be a big player for United for the future, but his decision making is a joke at the moment. It's incredibly frustrating to watch, I wonder how infuriating it must be to play alongside.
He's a striker, he's supposed to be selfish. When those shots start flying in, like Kane's do, no one is going to question his selfishness.

On my way to a fellow Irish man's house for a pre-match bbq. I'll be home early if it's anything like the last match.

Not only do our players need to play to their maximum. We need the referee to have a good game. It's been too long for both these to happen in the same match.

Really hope we do it, but let’s be honest. I’ve got more chance of pulling Holly Willoughby than we have of winning tonight.
You must be one handsome fella, because we've got a 10% chance of winning!

Oh forgot that we have to put up with the Referees in Europe too.

Even if we play out of our skin,,bet we will be here later to talk about refs. And this is Barcelona and Messi, the refs will be relishing to knock us out!!

Strikers are supposed to be selfish, not brainless, which he has been.

As if we can moan about refs after the luck we just had beating West Ham

Even you have to admit we are on the recieving end of some horrendous decisions in Europe from refs. Add the Barca playacting and it makes a heady cocktail for us to contend with.

We're in a perfect situation. We've come so much farther than expected. Is there really any expectation that we should win, from ANYONE but us true believers? No pressure on us. It's all on them. We'll fight hard. Let's have fun and ruin their year. Come on you Reds!!!!

Please just don't start Matic. I'll have a slight bit of confidence if I see a midfield 3 of Mctominay, Fred, Pogba and a front 2 of Rashford and Lukaku.

Imagine saying that about the midfield a few months ago!

Rashford better have his finishing boots on today, need to be clinical.

Went for a quick pint with a mate close to the hotel. Ended up a right bender with a South African lad who bought us feck loads of drink.

Jaysus United fans are the best of the lot.

This is correct but if we don’t win tonight people on here will be really hard on Ole. Criticism will be extreme.

Crazy to think that Solskjaer started this season being beaten in Euro League qualifying by Glenavon to now facing Barcelona!

I'm in a quite relaxed mood right now. We have to play with no fear, no pressure but with the belief and responsibility. Barcelona are far away from their best days so we can definitely hurt them and we could/should have got a much better result even in the first leg. We showed too much respect to them in that game so i hope we play with some dignity and calmness this time. Defend and counter well and anything can happen.

You're right but it's also pretty sad that we think this way

Expecting a tight match, could go all the way in which case I'd maginally favour the home team...

but that's enough about Juve-Ajax, we're definitely going out.
I despise the fact that you made me laugh out loud with this.

My only care for tonight is that we can play with some pride and fight. If we win, beyond amazing let the miracles roll on. If we go out all I want is to see us make Barca earn it and display that we aren't the million or so miles away that many think we are.

There's no way we're going through here. Anyone even hoping for it is deluded. We'll be lucky to be within 5 goals by the end.

    Reverse jinx.
