We didn't need to spend fifty odd million for Onana who comes over as a clown and plays like one. De Gea didn't get the golden glove last season for nothing
de Gea had the same mistakes

In fact we were eliminated from Europe with those mistakes.

Don't agree with the harsh criticism of Dalot for the second goal. No one was tracking Gnabry.
Yeah I thought he did well to keep up with him, got a bit unlucky that the challenge caused the ball to pinball a bit and fall kindly to Musiala. It happens.

Nobody picking up Gnabry was a schoolboy error though. So much ball watching.

19 shots on target in the last 4 games, 10 goals conceded.

Literally every second shot on goal goes in.

I don’t think anyone will disagree that he needed replacing, but Onana is looking like a very very expensive mistake.
I said he was the wrong choice as soon as his name was mentioned. Martinez was so obviously a better bet

We are shockingly bad when it comes picking up late runners. So many goals we have let in by giving space to their runner. Just look at Brighton game. Our midfielders just stand and watch. Nobody is picking up any player.
Ultimately focus and energy falls at the feet of the manager, but I don’t understand how these players can betray the badge on their shirt by zombying around the pitch week after week.

    Arsenal is beating PSV 3-0.

Perhaps getting all our new players from the Dutch league was not the best idea...
Don't think anyone else fancied it tbh.

Bar Martinez, I don't think we had to seriously compete for any of our other signings

This is but one of the issues yeah. It drives me crazy when we see the same mistakes without progress being made. If a manager can't fix issues fans can see they'll always be out the door eventually.

Onana is a proven, top keeper. Let's not suggest that this was expected. He'll be ok, it's just unfortunate and the way everything is going right now. I'm not worried about him, and we ALL wanted a new keeper. Every keeper drops a clanger or two during a long season. I don't expect him to make this the norm, so let's settle down a bit.

We just have to reassess our hopes and expectations for the season. I have. I think if we get top four it will be a huge, and I mean huge achievement.

I'm already thinking of the players who may leave at the end of this season. Sounds sad to say this and it isn't even the end of September, but we just have to see this season through now.

Was Onana a calamity for Inter? I never once watched them.

He has been shite so far, and he isn't a young kid learning the game. Not all his fault though, this whole team is shot on style or confidence, no energy, belief, ability........down to the manager as always.
from the very little i saw of Inter in the champions league, he actually made some saves but inter also defended with energy and moved for him so he could pass. Things that this club has yet to do.

No he wasn't. I watched Inter games due to betting purposes and he was very good. Inter defence was more cohesive than United's though. I think United limelight and his false start destroyed his confidence.

This team has got no character. We miss good chances and then concede from the first shot on goal in the majority of matches now. Poor individual error from Onana but it's then followed up by a second 4 minutes later.

This is about as bad a United team as I’ve ever seen. At least on par with Moyes and Rangnick at their lowest.

Bayern haven’t been that high of a level apart from the second goal dribble and assist. Even then our CB’s got bullied by average sized players.
I’m predicting a Moyes level season for sure although Oles last season was officially the worst in the premier league. Think we may beat either this year.

it was Martinez that fecked up for Gnabry goal. Lindelof hasn’t done much wrong today.
I disagree. Martinez had clear instructions of man marking Kane, you could see Martinez following him all the time during the first half. When Kane drops deep he opens up space, which should be picked up by the midfielders. This is clearly failing since neither Erikssen nor Casemiro have the legs to perform that function, leaving us open in the middle. A clear mistake by the manager.

We don’t know how to score. Every game since last season you see posts talking about how we had the better chance. This has been happening for months

It says everything that Reguilon is our fittest player and he's had no pre season at our club. What did we actually do over pre-season, it's mind-boggling how unfit we are.

So we aren’t getting a replay of the penalty decision then? Sums up the British media with United games recently. Talksport will still be banging on about the penalty at Wolves.

I seriously doubt if Martinez is 100% fit you don’t go from the player he was last season to an error ridden wreck he is this season, it’s almost without Varane he’s not reading the situation correctly?

Onana being shit isn't a reason for de gea staying. Both are shite goalkeepers, but now ten Hag hasn't got the excuses for de gea mistakes. He's spent big on this keeper and it wasn't necessary at all

Our shape looks better and we were decent the first thirty minutes or so......

But lets be honest, Bayern have been really sloppy, bar Sane and Musiala they have been terrible by there standards....and still they are 2-0 up.

Has Onana actually made a save so far this season as that is at least the 3rd goal in just his 6th game he has conceded that he sholdnt have.

Too early to judge but so far this season, all the concerns had abot the new signings are happening. All this DeGea is in the botoom percentile of saves, he hasnt been a good shot stopper for years, rubbish with his feet blah blah blah. Dont get me wrong, I think it was the right time for him to go, but all these online experts and there stat laden arguments.....the main thing wth a keeper is that they can actually command there area and make saves, Onana was £50m and other keepers went for far less. Always to me he looked an average keeper with great feet at Ajax and not much above a decent keepe with greatfeetr at inter. The burden and pressure of being our numbe rone is huge, hardly any have succeeded.

Said in the summer I am not sure there are any keepers available and I incldue the likes of Raya and Sanchez that can handle the pressure of or number one and for all the lovely work with his feet, Onana is really struggling with it so far.

Add that to our full back injuries and the moain thing, or failure to improve our centre back options, its a surprise to me how poor we have been so far this season....but it isnt a huge surprise we are leaking poor goals

Thing is, we've not done too badly. Actually, prior to the goal, we were arguably the better team.

The mistake by Onana was massive, and us being us, conceded again not too long after.

Team at least trusted De Gea. There was a unity between the defence and him that just isn't there now.
Totally disagree - I think the defence has lost confidence in him as much as the fans had

People got hyped by a couple of runs against tired teams in the 85th minute.

To be fair he's not been terrible tonight. And should have had a penalty.
Judging him on his first start away against Bayern Munich is mental in any case. Just stinks of people not willing to give youth a chance and quick to put the knife in. Toxic fans. He shouldn't really be making his first start tonight.

Lindelof horrendous all season. Licha's been shit too. Embarrassing how many times we can concede the same type of goal
I expect it from Lindelof, but Licha is concerning. I think he was our best player last season. He's look horrible this season.

It's just the natural level United always seem to fine no matter who the manager is... I wonder what the actual issue could be here, umm, I can't think.
The whole issue is we're stupid then not ruthless enough to fix our stupidity. And our fans.

Feels like we say this every season. We're breaking our own shit records.
Unacceptable on a second season for a manager. A few games ago I said the doubts about ETH started.

Now I say the clock should start. Turn it around starting next game or he should sadly be gone in about two months.

Obviously Glazers our the biggest issue but the buck stops with the manager and getting worse really isn't acceptable.

Hope he turns it around but his signings seem to be bad 75% of the time so I think the end is neigh once again.

    Very frustrating

Tough luck. We were playing well until the goal. There is improvement but another loss is making feel rather numb.
