The players are just bad. Norwich must be kicking themselves. They made us look decent.

Studio just talking this over as it's no shock at all, feck me we've become the laughing stock haven't we? This is a shock to absolutely no one, getting beat by a piss poor Bournemouth team.
When you see we don't have good players then ofcourse this is not a surprise. I said it before the season that I would be happy to be in top 10. Too many players far from top standard or players that can be good one day and then terrible next day. We have only MAYBE two World Class players in De Gea and Pogba, rest is just average.

You need to feck off, since you are so fecking clueless you think our problem is who manages us. Nobody will win shit with these shit players. Nobody.
Remember the good old days, 1 year ago, when the players were great and Jose was holding them back?

I said it when we beat norwich.
They played into our hands.. they think attack not defense and when its open for us we can score.. when teams sit back.. even teams that are terrible we struggle to break down any team that has a defensive shape. You can blame the player all you want. This is on ole and his staff.

He is strangely inconsistent in that department, sometimes he makes very tough passes look easy and other times he fails to spot or execute relatively simple ones. Funnily enough between that and his inconsistent positioning he is very Pogba-like.

No one in their right mind looked at this squad and thought "feck yes, this lot is great". That's a whole new level of delusion. Mourinho was a problem, not THE problem. The players are the major problem, they are simply not good enough.

We've got 2 top players, about 5 good players and the rest would generally look out of place in the Championship, which is of reasonably high standard nowadays.

    On the move..
    We lost.
It was not a good performance.
I do however feel we are on the right track, our players learn most by losing and making mistakes.
We won the last few games, possibly felt too comfortable or complacent.
Ole does not have his full team formed yet.
No need to panic just yet.

I don't know when the last time was but under Ole during the honeymoon we came from 0-2 down at home to Burnley and got a 2-2
Yeah, Ole wasn’t the permanent manager then and that was before 2nd March 2019. My point is that it is now over seven months since we got anything from a game in which we fell behind. We’ve lost 12 games in that time. We accept losing.

Same old for the last 6 years. 1 step forward and 3 back. Mid table mediocrity at it's best I'm afraid.

"The lads worked hard, but today it just didn't go for us. We've had a good run beating Partizan and Norwich but today we lacked that freshness. We'll go back to the changing room and go again against Partizan and Brighton who will be difficult to stop."
    Textbook Ole.

i actually don't think Scotty or fred have been as bad as some people here do... but no one above a "three"
I thought McT was poor but he is a youngster bound to be inconsistent. Fred... well... less said the better.

We just need to go for a back 5 the rest of the season. Our midfield isn't good enough to warrant three people there. Might as well be solid first and then break with pace.

My french boy  ? Perreira was atrocious, hopefully shot or not. He will deservedly have the worst grade of this match.
Yeah, it was a joke because you are French aswell :). Im fan of McT but i think he was even worse. And i don’t see why Lingard is getting minutes. Even Montpellier would not be able to use him.

My fault, I hadn’t watched the last few games that we won but was back watching today. My bad, lesson learnt, never again.

There's alot of delusional posters, then, or maybe a lot of Pogba and Martial fans. They're not as vocal anymore, seems like.
Mourinho was a excellent manager, but just not what a subset of fans wanted. I presume those same people are happy with Ole, more 'MUQ'.
It wasn't good to show the players that the manager was going to take the fall if they didn't produce, and getting rid of Mourinho showed that.
It wasn't good to show the MU board that the fans would blame the manager if they didn't buy/sell the needed players, and getting rid of Mourinho showed that.
    Here we are.

Very much so if they honestly believed this squad is good enough to challenge for any honours. Pogba and Martial is 2 out of 28 in our squad and arguably two players that might be good enough for us. You say it wasn't good to show the players the manager was going to take the fall, what would sacking Ole over the players poor performances now, do? Exactly that. It's time to put the blame where the blame lies, on the players.

It's gonna be a season of instability and unpredictable results and I hope folks are geared for that and don't jump into snap judgements.

I know it'll go all like he's not good enough and he's trash and all but some long term perspective on club, player and manager would be nice.

Thought Philip Billing looked good today.
He did but every player looks good against us, Steve Cooke looked like John Terry in his prime next to Nathan Ake who had shades of Beckenbauer. Next week they will be back to normal Premier League players, we are just so easy to play against that centre halfs and defensive midfielders boss it every time.

thing is if the board/owners/woodie were capable they would have a vision and strategy in place for the long term, that can be carried out by the people they hire and if they are not living up to it they could change out the "project" manager and get another one slotted into the plan, but what is the plan and who is in charge, why was no DoF brought in to lead this long term plan and or perspective for the club, why did we trim the squad so much this summer and all the while OGS promised players like Herrera and Lukaku would be replaced and yet they weren't.

Fact of the matter is there are a lot of things gone wrong or mismanaged at the club, from both the board, owners and coaches/manager and it feels like said long term perspective could be executed better or planned better, it really felt like it was made up in flash since OGS was having good results as interim manager and everyone just hoped for the best.

I'm all for long term thinking, we need it, any club and company does. But it must be done right, you must see progress and not hurt your self too much in the now, that's the tricky part about these things, finding that balance. And right now we are looking like we will be battling just to stay in the league and that is unacceptable at any given time, it's just on OGS of course but it's not acceptable. It always feels like one step forward two back.
