If Rashford isn't dropped and he makes illogical subs again, Rangnick needs to go. #RangnickOUT

Cavani is starting training only tomorrow if I heard Ralf correctly.
    Same with Varane.
I think they started light training last week. Maybe they’ll be okay by weekend but not midweek.

I’d bring Matic and Shaw back in, Greenwood to start ahead of Rashford.
Brentford will look at the Norwich game and be well up for this. Need to be play with some purpose and energy as a bare minimum in this game.

I would love it, if Brentford`s Christian Nørgaard played for us. He would be a better alternative as a no. 6 than any of our current players.

    Banana skin, to be sure.

Marcus and Bruno should be dropped for Brentford. Shaw to return for sure. You wonder if Ronaldo can go back after only two days rest. Sounds like Matic may be out so we press on, so to speak, with McFred.

We can’t go on beating lesser clubs by the skin of our teeth. A bit too Ole.

Not good. Can see Toney bullying Maguire.
Maguire has never been bullied by anyone, he’s a tank. He’s more prone to getting done by trickery or pace. You are right though that Toney is a significantly bigger challenge to handle overall.

Same team as against Norwich but dropping Bruno and Rashford for Donny and Greenwood

Bruno and Marcus should start on the bench - Donny and Greenwood to start in their place. I can also see RR changing both FBs.

I am not convinced by this 4-2-2-2 formation. Perhaps it can work, but not with the same players in midfield/attack. I want to see some change. I'd also rather see a 4-3-3 but played with proper midfielders. I don't know why we insist on playing Bruno in a #10. He's not a midfielder. Play him on the left wing

    Dalot

    McSauce

    Bruno

    Greenwood

Not sure if Cavani or Varane are ready but I'd like Varane to get 30 minutes as well as VDB.
Unless the match is out of hand or their is an injury, he would sub CBS.

Cheers. Where are you getting the info?

If that's right, we should be able to manage.
Think that info is now probably outdated. Just a few of the lads who write for Red Issue / UWS seemed to get the whisper first but it was all hearsay at the time.

Some fresh legs against a very good opposition at a tough ground. Bruno and Rashford off the bench as required. Need to start using and trusting the squad a bit more with games packed into a tight schedule incoming.

Start Shaw and Greenwood. A tough game and could be first real test for Ralf.

    And bench Bruno.

Greenwood / Shaw should start for Ronaldo / Telles. Would love to see Cavani on the bench.

Also I think it will be better for the team if Bruno and Sancho switch positions. Game gets stretched to the left a lot so it will allow Bruno to come inside and play through the middle.
For Rashford and Telles, I'd say. (I also think Telles has been great, but I bet Shaw plays well with this new pressure)

Meaning it’s more than a couple players?

Yeah, I'd be tempted to bet on them, they know what they're doing and we definitely don't yet.
They are nowhere near the same team they were a couple of months ago when they played really well
2 wins in 8 - and those were against Everton and Watford at home. I didn't see the Watford-game but they were lucky to beat Everton.

At home they are very good team. They were very unlucky to lose vs Chelsea, they played well against big clubs at home.

    Results with xG
    Vs Arsenal - 2-0 (1.42 vs 1.19)
    Vs Liverpool - 3-3 (3.13 vs 2.67)
    Vs Chelsea - 0-1 (2.16 vs 0.31)
    vs Leicester - 1-2 (1.39 vs 1.01)

If you don’t feel optimistic then I will remind you one thing that Norwich beat Brentford this season.
You can file Brentford along with any one of Norwich, Burnley, Sheff Utd, etc who all see this game as their nadir, and the players raise their game, and the fans get behind them (along with epic shit "We support our local team" chants, booing ronaldo then videoing him doing his celebration after he's scored against you).

We've got form for fecking these type of games up in the past.

    An early goal would help.

Its not been that impressive on the eye recently but credit to the players for grabbing 2 wins. An early goal would change everything and it would be nice to see the RR system played under those circumstances. Its all looking like hard work at the moment.

If we play like we did against Norwich I think it will be a draw or a loss. They have to step it up if they want to win against Brentford.

What's Brentfords status? Any injuires? Covid's?

They're a good team. This could be our first loss of the new coach era.

We need fresh players, raring to go.
Getting Greenwood, Donny, Shaw, Bailly, from the start would help.
