    Anyone but Rashford
Young has had a very good season but we end up using him as an outlet far too often. No variety to the play. Ridiculous given how effective Valencia is on the right.

Mata is a waste of space in these games and Martial has been poor. So much for Sanchez not having a natural place in the team - He'll be straight in over either of those guys. No urgency. Pogba needs to get his head in the game too - This has been a dreadful performance. If we keep this up they will nick it. feck Mike Dean and Ashley Barnes though - Two genuine cnuts.

Is it just me or are we always dreadful in these 3pm kick offs?

Neither team looks like scoring, though in Burnleys case it's more because their strikers spend half the time inspecting the turf rather than trying to compete for the ball, we really need to be a bit more inventive, it would help if our right side contributed at all.

Lingard runs into the box as soon as Martial gets the ball. Cannot for the life of me understand why no one comes to play a quick one-two to create space. We are seeing the same shite attempts at crossing aimlessly into Lukaku who has been pretty anonymous. I really don't know what happens to this team. One week we play superbly and then the next week it seems like we have 11 random strangers picked on a train route to play together.
Should be transitioning the ball more from left to right but the ball is just going one way which makes it an easy job for Burnley to defend against. To be fair that's what they want, they funnel the ball out wide. If Young crosses the ball then they are happy.

Need to get the right side more involved and to do that we need to get the ball out right. Not that complicated. I expect us to do better in the 2nd half.

    Somewhere they can't find me.
Does every guy with the firstname Ashley have a tendency to dive ? As usual Mike dean is adamant not to give us anything.

And Phil Bardsley is a whinging cnut.

Unless there’s a big improvement in the 2nd half from us, this will end 0-0.

Good guy Mata doing his best to accommodate Sanchez.

The distribution from defence is shocking, the amount of pressure that is needed to make Jones or Smalling pass it out of bounds is minimal.

There are so many limited English strikers that have that one trick to dive anytime a defender stands behind them, why haven't refs caught up on that?

when you have only 10 players then it is a difficult in a game like this. Every time Mata gets the ball, Burnley gets time to get back and organize the defence.

The entire team is playing shit, the tempo is so slow, the movement is non existent, everyone wants the ball at their feet and that is just easy to defend. Has their keeper had a save to make ??

Again, what exactly is our plan here. It is not counter attacking football, nor tiki-taka. This is LVG level tumescent stuff. Burnley are a good side, but not good enough that we can't even have tested their keeper yet.

Phil Bardsley is a cnut. They’re set up well etc but we haven’t even tried getting at them. We’re so slow going forward it’s untrue.

I knew I was right worrying about this game today...
Put Fellaini or Herrera on for Mata.

Also, no offence to Young but he just walks back into the team when Shaw was doing so well, why change things?

Not worried about a great performance today just a win.

Jones is a good defender, but he has to have someone next to him who can come out with the ball. Jones spends a lot of time clearing up the mess Smalling drops us into.

No shot on target thats a disgrace. Mata and Sanchez will swap places to inject pace and skill

We're in the thralls of Sanchez Mania but there are things we could be doing to make the existing team play better. When Jose talks about Young having more experience for this kind of game, I assume he means knowing when to stay behind and not support Martial in the final third, even when there's room for 3 lorries to be driven through? I don't see what Young offers that Shaw could not and BTW, Young's decision-making was often poor in that half.

Only Jones had anything like a decent half amongst the back 4. Smalling looks a total liability out there and Valencia gives flashes of the cluelessness he sometimes has as a RB.

The attackers have been terrible. Pogba needs that 3rd player in the MF so he can concentrate on going forward. Martial had a couple of opportunities to shoot from good positions and seems too worried about feeding Lukaku, who has done very little.

Mata...I pray that Sanchez will play on the right because that's where we desperately need an upgrade. This guy needs a permanent spot on the bench.

It’s quite obvious now that Pogba needs to play in a 3 man midfield,we will never see the best of him in a 2 and we as a team don’t keep the ball well enough in this formation.Mata off Herrera on for the second half, let’s unleash Pogba and we”ll see the best of him...

There was this moment when Smalling got the ball. Had the whole pitch in his view. Knew he had time, yet panicked and kicked it straight to a Burnley player. Lost count of the number of times he has done that already. He is a decent defender but his ability on the ball is such a liability. Bailly and Jones should be our first choice when fit.

    There's only one United!
We can win this if Young manages some inventive on the flank
