This is exactly the game where Sanchez qualities is needed. I'll take any goal, please just win.

What is the point in Mata today? Pogba is getting forward just get Fellaini on to cover for him.

    HELLO
Too much respect being paid to Burnley here. Shaw creates so much more space for us; they're doubling Martial every time and we put too much emphasis on the Young to Lukaku cross, it's so predictable. I can't recall an attack down our right in that half.

We're playing right into Burnley's hands by keeping it compact with everything down the left hand side.

I'd put Young on the right side and bring Shaw on for Mata or Lingard.

Lukaku has been our best player.

    Ashley Barnes spent 45minutes diving.

Burnley are a nasty nasty team. They aren't allowing any football to be played. Ref isn't giving anything for us. Mata isn't offering anything at the moment. I'm 100% sure he'll be the one making way for Sanchez. Lingard has also been very quiet.

Martial looks a threat everytime he recieves the ball, he's got a goal in him today.

Pogba, Mata and Matic have been largely ineffective. Expect better from them second half.

Young produced our best moment of the game but very quiet before that.

Lukaku's done well. Crosses are still appauling. Burnley comfortably executing an effective gameplan - Dyche is clearly an excellent manager.

They are very well organized at the back to be fair.

The left side is an issue with both Martial and Young going inside all of the time and no ovrlapping run to allow Martial to drive into space. Lingard is also playing the deeper #8 role and I'm not sure it's a good fit for him at all.

Bit scrappy. Fellani for mata, and more players need to get in the box when we attack. Were treating Burnley like Chelsea. Far to cautious.

I see the impending threat to Mata's place in the first eleven hasn't inspired him to pull his finger out.

It would be interesting if we had a right side of the team instead of just central and on the left all the time.

Predictable football. It's the same every attack, down the left where Martial gets it with no options. Can't play the ball to Lukaku or Lingard who are never close. Haven't even tried going down the right.
Lingard runs into the box as soon as Martial gets the ball. Cannot for the life of me understand why no one comes to play a quick one-two to create space. We are seeing the same shite attempts at crossing aimlessly into Lukaku who has been pretty anonymous. I really don't know what happens to this team. One week we play superbly and then the next week it seems like we have 11 random strangers picked on a train route to play together.

Pogba needs to be careful. Jasper Carrot is going to send him off otherwise. I actually do not see why Jose plays Mata? yes occasionally he gets a goal but his negatives far outweighs his positives. He cannot run, he cannot tackle, he cannot defend. He slows the game down and as I always have been saying he congests an already congested area by always coming inside and bringing a defender with him.
Jose needs to get Fellaini on and let Pogba attack a bit more.

Sanchez should be thinking that he made the right decision coming to United. He'll be a star with this limp of attack.

tumescent. Evidence if any were needed, of how badly we need Sanchez and the oomph he brings. Mata is dire and pointless in attack nowadays. Specially in such games. All our attacks and decent movements are predictably from the left via Martial and Young making it so easy to defend! Just block the put balls (Lingard / Pogba). Lukaku is so static in the box that a team sitting deep needn’t fear much anyway.

Need individual genius here. And wonder if Dean would actually give it if someone hacked down Pogba with a machete.

We certainly need to have more than one player in midfield. I thought Jose would go with Marouane from the start. Not least for his height in defending set pieces.

Generally the players have been poor in that first half, bar Jones.

Only sometimes? He's been almost permanently frustrating for about 3 years now. Thank God Sanchez is coming in.
Easy to get on his back these days but also easy to forget hes scored some important goals for us, match winning goals as well. Similar to Miki. I remember the days when they both played well together ... seems like ages ago now.

Screw that. Sanchez would not have made any difference in that half. Zero movement off the ball. Everyone wants it at their feet. Were they in Dubai with their feet put in wet cement waiting for it to dry? No runners at all.

The Lingard-hype will die down after a couple of bad games. I am surprised by his goals and applaude him for that (I am one of them that called him a Championship-player) - but he really isn’t that good overall. Smartness and general awareness is just average when the game is not tailor-made for him.

Get mata in the number 10 role, instead of this bizarre nonsense of playing him on the right, get lingard off and fellaini on.
