    0-2 deserved

Hopefully we don't take our foot off the gas. A hammering could do wonders for our confidence, particularly in an away game. Burnley look there for the taking.

Just have to say, please don’t let your performance drop in the 2nd half Utd! For once, let’s keep this up and give these fuds a proper spanking that is there to be dished out!

Lingard is a hard for me to figure out. If he could add consistent end product to his game he’d likely be one of the most productive players in the league. Sometimes you see great technical flashes from him and quick legs and it’s like “there’s a really good player in there somewhere”

Lukaku, Sanchez, Shaw and Lingard have all played brilliantly so far. The linkup play in and around the box has been really good.

Really loved that 1st half performance. I don't know if we have been much better or the fact that Burnley have been poor but I'll take that considering how the last few games have been.

Glad to see Lukaku take his chances. Let's get a hattrick now and put the game to bed.

Next time speak less about Fellaini before a game like this.

They massively overperformed last season and got lucky with clinical finishing/really bad opponent finishing. Fully expected them to be woeful this season
Think that's a little harsh on them. They did over perform in terms of where they finished, but they did play some nice stuff and fully deserved their results for the most part. They're out of Europa now so that should help them.

Honestly Burnley are trash, let's try to keep attacking and hopefully score more to use this as a good boost before the international break. Please do not a classic Man Utd shitty 2nd half

Setting the stage for the, it was only Burnley narrative.
Not really.. it was supposed to be "only Brighton" and we still got outplayed, so even beating relegation fodder is progress right now. Any comfortable win where you create and score, you can't complain too much. Just hope we keep going since they are so bad so we really can get a confidence boosting scoreline here

Small things like that are why we start every attack a man down on the opposition. We'd be a lot better in attack if our CBs could pass between the lines.
Its 2-0 and Burnley are shit. Save your moaning for next time

Best half in a long time. Nice pace in attack at times, good decisions, work rate ten out of ten.

Too many false dawns in recent years to read into anything other than it being a fantastic half. Given some of the reactions to Liverpool’s first half yesterday I,m surprised this place isn’t proclaiming that we’re on for the treble.
We played like Liverpool teams of the 80s today :lol:

Great to hear the support in the away end for Mourinho.

He's made a pig's ear (Pog's ear :D ) out of some things and a lot of what we've seen on the pitch has been crap but, he's done a lot of good and he deserves the support.

LvG, as much as it was clear he was the wrong man, was treated badly. Don't wanna see that happen again.

    Some good stuff.

Go out and get more in the 2nd half. We could use a good hammering of a team going forward.

This has been rather enjoyable game of football but Burnley making it so easy for us by not pressing us when on the ball. Still want to see Fred on the pitch would add some dynamism.

Burnley are playing us exactly how we want to be played against. No pressure or pressing etc.

Off course we look good when the other teams tactics are playing to our strengths. Our weakness is when teams come at us with intent.

Shaw has been great again. He's looking really confident at the moment. Long may it continue. Great to see Rom get a couple of goals too.

At the risk of being that guy, Burnley is making this easy. They have been shocking and I genuinely think we still look rudderless out there.

Shaw is playing so well, imagine if we had a player of that quality on the right hand side too.

Imagine them on a Liverpool forum. “They’re playing like the Liverpool of old”

    Actually imagine it,

That puts in perspective how bloody embarrassing this place can be

Spot on from Mourinho. Fellaini has been key here - he’s acted as a 3rd centre back and a destroyer in midfield. I’m glad I told people on here to feck off regarding Lukaku criticism- he’s not someone you worry about - he puts his head down and works.

I was worried Shaw will revert back into his cave after a few shaky moments early in the half but he rallied out and has been the fullback we have been missing.

It’s crazy how much more of a complete attacking team we look when we have functioning full backs.

Let’s see if we maintain this form in the second half.

Media a..holes still going after us. I am watching game through NBC sports in US, and right after Lukaku scored the 2nd goal these guys start saying stuff like “Burnley haven’t done enough”, “Burnley plaing without energy without intensity”, “they couldn’t ask for a better opponent”, “Bunley haven’t shown up yet”.

A good first half performance that built on a lot of the positives in the Spurs game and added goals to them.

Clear shape to the team, clear intent to get the ball forward as fast as possible using the #9 as a reference point, full backs providing width. For the first time in a long time we actually looked like a Jose Mourinho team, which will have come as a shock to the media who have been claiming Jose's lost the dressing room.

I may not rate the guy but I can't hate Fellaini when he plays as well as he has done. His position in the team is crucial, dropping in between the centre halves at the right moments and moving into midfield at the right moments. Admirable execution of Jose's tactics.

PS) Very pleased that Smalling and Lindelof have been better. Alright they're not up against Harry Kane but we struggled against Glen Murray so you gotta be thankful for small mercies.
